I'm not handicapped but waitng for my friend to get over a crap condition of uncontrolled epilepsy, I won't go without him, these video's are a good stand in for when you can't go. So much more valuable probably than the original poster realises. Also a good substitute for a typical snowless christmas in the UK.... Went to Strasbourg 6 years ago. Strasbourg has one of the most beautiful and well preserved historic centers I've seen. Plus, it has preserved so much of its regional or traditional Alsatian architecture even beyond the historic center, which gives it so much character and sense of place. I hope to go their during their Christmas Market one day.
This is the most beautiful Christmas area I have seen. So romantic, so wonderfully decorated. They put real decorated Christmas trees on all the roofs. Have never seen anything like that. This one is Number 1, even the Christmas Markets in Germany are not this nice.
It really is a beautiful. I live in Strasbourg but everytimes I am in front of the cathedral, I am in awe. It's stunningly high and detailed. Btw, the craftsmen of the cathedral are renowned are actually helping with the Notre Dame de Paris' restoration.

Wow, this was filmed two days after we left Strabourg. We enjoyed the Christmas markets a lot. They do Christmas the right way unlike what we do here in the states.

This looks like a cool city. That church is just wow. The closest I have been is Zurich which is also lovely and only a short drive away. I love that it is a French city but many of the names are both German and French so I would probably be comfortable as I know a little of both languages. Maybe someday I can go to the Christmas market and buy decorations for my home.

Il vous invite à venir en acheter, en vous les proposant "chaudes" car il fait très froid à la période de Noël et vous avez envie de vous réchauffer. Prenez aussi un vin chaud à la canelle ou un jus d'orange chaud parfumé. J'habite à Strasbourg depuis....60 ans.
Great job! You really took us with you on an extensive walk through the city. And you didn't haste but gave us time to look around and let the pictures sink in. I know a lot of German citiy centers with old houses but this is way larger than I've ever seen. Strasbourg is a big pearl and I hope you also do a walk there in summer. @@casinoheimdall9328 Germany is so well-known for it's half-timbered small towns which attract many tourists. But Strasbourg is on another level with so many old houses in good condition that almost all German cities pale in comparison. That's what I was referring to.
