It's so funny how the cow just seems so unfazed by the big metal monster charging towards it with its loud whistle screeching louder and louder.

God is seemingly writing a Thomas the Tank engine fanfic with 475 as the star.

To top it all off, when #475 was in the workshop getting the smokebox front repaired, the Strasburg Railroad staff replaced the cowcatcher grille with a pair of switcher footboards, in preparation for some 1950-style recreational runs with #611. Of all the days to not have a proper cowcatcher in front, it had to be the one where an actual cow gets in the way.

Nice to see 475's crew was paying attention this time!

November and Strasburg don’t mix sometimes. Near miss at Cherry Hill, November ‘08, 475 hits excavator, November 2022, and a week later almost hits a cow. All 3 things involved 475.

There used to be a video on youtube, and it showed animals who just sit on the tracks and just lets the train take them, im always curious what goes through the animals head, is it depressed and over life, or just trying to be dominant to some heavy tons of iron and metal coming to clobber them. (Of course that video has probably been taken down now due to guidelines, the video was uploaded during the good old youtube days before ads and BS.)

Does anyone know that cow is brown. In one condition a Disney film Casey jones, featured a brown cow at the middle of the track right in front of the Casey jones train.

A cow on the line in real life just what 2022 needs. Plus 475’s recent bad luck ie this and the excavator incident reminds of clinchfield 311 from kanefan701’s ghost stories. Because clinchfield had bad luck which lead to her demise and her becoming a ghost. These recent ordeals with 475 to me are very reminiscent of those of clinchfield 311 and if y’all ask me it’s only a matter of time before we have a new ghost train haunting us and that new ghost engine is none other than the spirit of n&w 475. And every year on the date of the accident 475’s spirit runs again as a warning to others plunging into the gap shrieking like a lost soul.
