Just the pickup combo I was thinking of trying! How "Stratty" would you say the cruisers sound in person? Awesome playing on one of my fave rock tunes brother! Thanks for sharing, I'm gonna subscribe!
+GrumpyMJK Thanks. In person the cruisers are very Stratty. In fact, I have another Strat with DiMarzio Areas and Virtual Vintage and in my opinion, the Cruisers blow them away. They are extremely clear and articulate and do not mud up with gain.
Joe ScienceVegan Try an Injector neck/67/AT1 with 500-525k pots wired dual tone pot, 50s style (eliminates the need for a treble bleed). I wire the neck and middle on the top tone and bridge to the bottom tone (.22 orange drops). Probably the most versatile combination of pickups I've ever had, literally can pull off any tone just about. AT1 is a great pickup.
The Real Nafis Thanks. You’re right, I only used the bridge pickup on that one. I will have to post another video using the Cruiser pickups in the future. I can tell you that I was shocked by the “strat-like” tone from those cruisers. I have another Fender with DiMarzio Area pups installed and I’ve got to tell you I think I like the Cruisers better. The one thing that I did find out however is you can take the same pickups that sound great on one guitar and install them in another guitar and they will sound totally different.
@@TheOriginalGuitarMan Oh wow. Yeah I keep hearing people mention that about the Cruisers. I'm definitely considering getting them because I'd love to get rid of that 60 cycle hum while retaining that strat-like sonic quality. I appreciate the info!
