Strategies for Quilting Sampler Quilts

I find sampler quilts the hardest type of quilts to quilt. You want the end result to look intentional and there are several ways to accomplish it--from a simple edge to edge to custom quilting. I walk you through some of my favorite quilts and the strategies I used to help bring them together into cohesive end quilts.

The edge to edge design I used on my sampler quilt was Thread Garden from the Longarm League available here: longarmleagueshop.com/collect...
My longarm is an APQS Millie 30 and I usually use Glide thread in the top and So Fine 50 in the bobbin.

I love the idea of giving a special quilting to one or more particular block(s) and then an all over to the rest. I can actually see me do it with a straight line quillting for the all over.

This is great and very timely. I have a couple of other projects to complete and then on to a couple of samplers. I do FMQ on my DSM, and the largest I've done is a king size. A lot to shuffle around but doable. Wonderful tips to think about, thank you. Your samples are fabulous! Please levee them on screen a little longer so we can better see your quilting, lol.
