We compare this great game from Milton Bradley and the New Play Monster Games Edition. You play as an army trying to capture your opponent's flag, but you're not sure where it is. My version of Stratego from the 1990s had the battle screen and the pieces aren't hard to see what they are either. Maybe that was changed from the one that was made in the 1970s. You could also just sit the lid on the box between the two sides of the board like you do with the screen anyways, so it isn't a big deal.

You got a comparison with the sci fi version of stratego? If you get deep in the rules they have some crazy stuff like long range artillery.

I own a Stratego version from the 90's or 2000's that I grew up with and needless to say is a bit worn down and I've wondered if any of the new versions would be worth it. Apparently some have battle cards and try to do new things but it's hard to tell from the box whether they'd be worth it.

I agree it had a better look, but I remember playing this game outside with my dad and hating the gold on red pieces due to the glare. Thanks for watching. Cheers!

@@GamersCloset it’s stratego with added abilities for every piece rather than just the scout, it almost makes it a completely different game than classic stratego, if you enjoy the classic version I’d 100% recommend it and I haven’t been able to find much content on it anywhere. I still have mine from Christmas of 2010 otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to find it at all
