Thank you for the video. I fly an experimental helicopter, which is hangered until I pass my medical. So many high priced units out there. It's like auto insurance... the insurance companies said, "As soon as it's the LAW to have insurance, the price will be much lower, because Everyone will have it." Now it's Law, the price doubled, and nobody could do anything about the price! Hopefully Aviation gear will come down in price when more competitors pop up.

Just received my unit in the mail tonight. Put it together and slapped it in the kitchen window. I was tracking aircraft with foreflight in under 5 min. Can't wait to get it into the cockpit!

Nicely done, but I would suggest showing howto properly shut down unit using your iPad via that status screen. That way many don’t have to reflash the software as often.

Thanks for the video. I have a question. Everything is the same on my unit but my settings page is totally different from the video. It shows AHRS, Commands, Configuration, and WIFI settings. Is this a newer version or an older version?

my red light turn off after 68 sec but the green light stay solid, everything is working, fan kick on after while but no red light! when I shutdown the unit from the stratux manager then both red and green stay solid! do I have bad power in?

How do I get this to display on Avare or with the traffic displayed over a sectional chart? Right now I just see the traffic displayed on a white screen with rings around my location showing me incremental distances...

Hi I just purchased the stratux with the AHRS and GPS. My plan is to use it with an iPad but I do not know if I need WiFi + Cellular or if I can get away with WiFi alone. I will also probably use ForeFlight. Thoughts?

Hi Sean, I see you sell one with an external (MCX connector) GPS antenna. Can you build it with a dual-band (but single SMA female) antenna connector? I plan to install it remotely and replace a GDL39, the airplane already has a single dual-band ADSB external antenna that goes to the SMA cable, and a remote mounted GPS antenna with a MCX connector on it...

Thanks for the video. I ran it several times in order to fix a problem. I put the unit together, following all the instructions and operated it on my plane for several moths. Then, a few days ago, it would not work, showing only a red light. My iPad would not receive the stratux page I under 192.168.10.1 After watching your video on re-flashing the sd card, accomplished a successful re-flashing, installed the sad card in the unit and was rewarded with a steady green and red light. However, I am still not getting the needed wifi connection between the unit and the iPad. I am now at wits end. What appears to be the problem? Joe

If using FltPlan Go on a Windows 10 computer or laptop, turn off the firewall OR open port UDP 4000 and allow ICMP (ping) otherwise the Stratux cannot find the PC or send data. (It pings first, then sends a stream of UDP packets). Client devices (iPad, smartphone, computer) are assumed to exist if found in the DHCP leases of the Raspberry Pi AND if the device can be pinged.

Will they synthetic vision from ForeFlight work with it? Thank you

hi all, ordered, set up and installed this device back in jan 2019. it was working fine until a few days ago. now, after fully recharging the charger that came with it, the stratux only shows the red light, never the green. obviously its getting power, but what does a solid red with no green mean? also, the IP 192.168.10.1 no longer connects from any computer. has this address changed? thanks...

I am getting no internet connection with exclamation mark WiFi symbol both on IPad and IPhone. Someone has idea what might be wrong?
