Thank you for actually 'teaching' us how to do these braids by explaining the sequence of steps so well! It was such a pleasure to watch this video recorded at a perfect pace, while actually focusing on the straws in your hands rather than being zoomed out onto you and your surroundings... @@SomethingCorny Das ist schön! Bei uns gab es eine Ausstellung. "Stroh zu Gold spinnen." Es gab filigrane Spitzen aus Stroh zu sehen. Hübsche Hüte und Strohutnähmaschinen und Werkzeuge. Alles über 100 Jahre alt. Das Stroh glänzte wie neu. Ich finde Stroh ist ein faszinierendes Material! In Amerika gibt es Scheunen aus Stroh, über 100 Jahre alt. Ich würde gern in einem Strohballenhaus wohnen! Haben sie ein Buch über diese Techniken geschrieben? Das Wissen über so ein schönes Handwerk darf nicht verloren gehen! No John, I haven’t but when I am teaching I encourage my students to explore all sorts of different materials. If you try with Kudzu vine let me know how it goes.
