THE GUITAR PARTS:
John Lennon played his 1965 Epiphone Casino. The original song was recorded in the key of C but was dropped down a full step to approximately Bb. To play along to the record, tune down one full step. The chords shown are in reference to the shape, not the pitch you hear.
In the first section, Lennon simply picks notes in the chord shapes shown on screen. Take note of the hammer-ons (specifically 0:36 and 0:44)
The outro solo was also played by McCartney on his 1962 Epiphone Casino. The phrases themselves are a bit reminiscent of a sitar. There is a capo on the third fret so the open Bb (on the A string) can ring out.
