I saw them at Wolf Trap last year and when they played this I sang along right with them. It was a high energy performance, which you can't say about all bands that have been around as long as they have.

Frank Schimpke How are they not rockabilly? A Gretsch 6120, drums, and slap bass. That’s rockabilly in its finest form. Brian Setzer is a much better guitarist than anyone from the 1950’s no disrespect to them. They’ve done covers to honor rockabilly pioneers as well. They use all the equipment that Cochran and Vincent used, sang some of the same songs, wrote their own songs, and have no electro stuff like a lot of stuff in the 1980’s did. They just made pure music. They brought rockabilly back from the dead. They’re very talented musicians. Go troll somewhere else. If you get them so much, why did you RU-vid them?
stray cats do not mess with rock and roll or rockabilly. they mix their crap with rock and roll or rockabilly, what comes out is waste. if you disagree, then it's your thing. i have this bummer seen live and we left the room, because you could not hear this scrap. a hair of johnny burnette has more rockabilly than ever will have.she have mixed everything with new wave and synty pop and it just shit out of it raus.wenn you want to hear rockabilly from the 80s, then listen to the jets with rockbilly baby or james dean, then you know it.the sound of brian set guitar is just horrible.
