I tallied the amount of parts each member took from Woojin. This includes skz 2020 and 2021. Bang Chan: 17 Lee Know: 15 Changbin: 3 Hyunjin: 1 Han: 19 Felix: 3 Seungmin: 16 I.N: 11 As you can see, Chan, Jisung, Lee Know and Seungmin really stepped up and took a lot of lines.
man i wish they didn't cut woojins part in behind the light but instead gave that part to someone else, that part elevates the song so much its so good
i know they can’t re record some of them because Woojin was a part of the lyric writing and producing process. so they legally can’t remake it without his permission
I think they removed the lyrics that Woojin wrote. I'm not sure, it's just a guess, since he is not credited in the lyrics anymore, when he originally was I'm referring to the mixtapes ofc
Woojin didn't deserve this much hate and accusation. He left from personal reasons, when he got accused of sexual harassment, he was trying to relieve stress, and he suffers from anxiety and fear now, so we should stop hating him and give some love to his soloist career. Also, in the 2 kids room, Han said to Woojin that his hugs reminded him of his dad, and he felt safe in his arms.
@@k.nows_yt8994 The only OT9 song from Clé : Levanter was Double Knot, which was the first pre-release single of the album. He left after that, and the next pre-release (Astronaut) and the album itself were then delayed and re-recorded, including the album version of Double Knot.
@@k.nows_yt8994it was recorded while he was there. They talk about it in their last vlive together. Which means they were either well aware that he was planning to leave by the time of recording it. Or they rerecorded before release.
Jeez people are so rude in the comments. All I wanted to see was people saying that yeah both versions are good but WTH. Some people really are just dickheads. I’m a supporter and Stan both of them so while OT9 lasted it was good. OT8 rn is also amazing. I love Woojin as a soloist as well but I just cant stand that after what he was put through and proven innocent there are people that keep talking bad of my baby 😀 btw this happened a long time ago so I bet no one’s hung up on it anymore but I just thought I needed to type this lol 😂😂
@@oriyavarsano4766 Those videos are incorrect. He was at 3rd because of adlibs. (Double knot -9secs, Grow up-10secs,side effects-9secs,Tmt - 14secs,Miroh-7secs, victory song-9secs, Maze of memories- 11secs, Boxer -9secs, 19- 13 secs, N/s -10secs, My pace-13secs etc)
@@boongi_ace Hi! In Mixtape#1, I was talking about the last pre-chorus In the ot9 is sang by Seungmin and Woojin, but in the ot8 version is sang by Seungmin and Chan In ROCK you can compare both chorus and you can see that there are differences in the ot9 version Woojin is the lead voice and the members do the harmonies, in the ot8 the lead voice is Jisung
something about woojins vocals in mixtape #4 (broken compass) is so mesmerizing. i love jisung and his vocals but there’s just something missing/off when i hear his version of the line
For me this just shows how little lines he got even as a main vocalist. It’s ridiculous, especially for Woojin who was really ambitious for singing and music in general. Like they didn’t have to make drastic changes to the songs and it wasn’t hard to replace him with others because of the lacking singing presence, I think even the rap members could take his lines with the few words he sang, for me that’s really sad.
I actually find that fascinating because I always have felt his voice didn't quite fit in with the rest of skz and that they actually sound more cohesive without him. Not trying to be a hater at all I don't have strong feelings abt Woojin one way or the other, but it's interesting to hear it from the other side! Glad he's able to show more of himself as a solo artist now though :)
@@HaNsoloing Seungmin is pretty strong but still needs work, Han and Chan are average vocalists. They're good but not as strong or developed as Woojin but that's because Woojin was an SM trainee and had proper training
@@Free_Palestine_75 I'm sorry what? I get it that Woojin is just your favorite type of vocalist and there's nothing wrong with it but stop disregarding other strong singers. Your opinion is just subjective but it feels like you're trying really hard to make it something that everyone would agree with like it's a fact. Bangchan didn't have a proper training? While being a trainee for SEVEN years and keep improving with skz for FIVE years? You must be fucking kidding me. You might not like his tone of voice but he is nowhere near being an average vocalist. That's just something really insulting to call him. He has a great control over his voice and he can do so much with it. Seungmin's tone of voice is that kind of voice that I would call an average. Nevertheless, having an average tone of voice doesn't necessarily mean that it has to be bad. It can be beautiful too. And so I still find his voice beautiful. Also Seungmin's very stable, you can clearly see how much he improved since the debut days. Han an average vocalist that's just... I'm speechless. Han is the type to be called a powerful vocalist. His singing voice feels like heaven. His vocals always feel like he's giving his best, his own life, that much power he holds as a vocalist. I don't even have to mention how stable Han is, do I? Even in their debut days, he was beyond being a good vocalist even then. And I should also say something about Woojin, right? I didn't like his voice even back in 2018. And I still don't like his voice while he's a soloist. Nevertheless, I'm not saying that he's a weak singer. I think his vocals were strong even in skz but I like it better without him since I didn't like his tone of voice. I do think though that he's strong vocalist. Just as Chan, Han and Seungmin. But with that difference that their voices I like and his I don't. That's simple.
@@disaster4550 He's got a powerful and soothing voice, much more suited to ballads and the type of songs he's doing as a soloist now, the parts he was given in SKZ didn't so justice to his vocals. Listen to his solo stuff of you haven't already, trust me you won't be disappointed by his voice
there are a handful that are still ot9. partially because Woojin participated in writing the songs so they couldn’t release them again because of rights. School Life is still ot9. You can also listen to the ot9 versions from the original albums.
Their first 6 mini albums, Mixtape (pre-debut), I am Not (1st), I am Who (2nd), I am You (3rd), Clé 1: Miroh (4th) and Clé 2: Yellow Wood (Special), remain unchanged from their 9-member versions on Spotify. These re-recorded 8-member songs are from their compilation albums SKZ2020 and SKZ2021.
ot8 is better wj's voice isn't memorable and this ot8 versions of the songs just prove it (except for the parts that he wrote in the mixtapes they suit his voice i won't deny it), also idk if anyone else feels the same way but his mixed voice and falsetto sound awkward compared to the new versions though this is easily and OBVIOUSLY due to the 2/3 extra years of vocal training that the members had before this new version
Woojin's voice isn't memorable? Really? He had the mist unique and, objectively, th best voice in the group, his voice spiced the songs up. Maybe he doesn't seem memorable to you because he got so little lines but his voice is so unique none of the other members were able to capture or improve it, at all. Personally I think their songs suffered greatly from Woojin leaving
@@Free_Palestine_75 you can't say "objectively" and proceed to give a subjective statement, his voice is basic for me, even sounds weird, i forget he's on some songs at times because he just doesn't have any signature parts like felix or hyunjin, idk
@@hyeongpinkz It's not subjective though, he has a unique vocal time, it's not a common one at all and he was objectively the best singer in the group, if he isn't memorable to you it's probably because he never got any lines and it clearly doesn't suite your tastes. Felix's voice only seems unique because it's deep but there isn't much there aside from that and Hyunjin just sounds like mist other idols, don't really know how you can call Woojin's voice basic and then say Hyunjin's is unique? Sounds kinda hypocritical to me, maybe you don't know much about singing and vocal techniques but Hyunjin's voice isn't unique and neither is Felix's really - they're both good but nothing special. Woojin's signature style is his tone, his strong but soft delivery, his belting, his upper range and sound, Felix has a deep voice and Hyunjin doesn't have anything.
