Blue tree project is a thing here in Australia to help raise awareness of mental health concerns. In Ex, Changbin was putting blue paint on a tree painting which can be seen while he was in ghost appearance. God i love SKZ

I remember Chan saying that he heard rumors that when the staffs heard it, they cried so much because the lyrics are written so beautifully and emotionally.

This song is really means alot for some Stays out there, alot of Stays who has a depression and struggles found a comfort in this song

I think (fellow stays feel free to correct me if I’m wrong) he included that tree with the paint because of the blue tree project. For anyone who doesn’t know, the blue tree project is to help raise awareness on mental health, and help encourage people to open up about their mental health and talk about it. If you realize, when Chan start singing Changbin look up to the lights, I don't know it's just the timing or it means I'm Changbin's loneliness when he becomes a light for others, but himself is in the dark, Chan was the one who becomes a light for him. I don't know if it's just in my mind tho

I almost cried when you said "you can feel the pain in his voice" yes indeed. One thing about Changbin is that you can really feel the emotions he wants to convey with the way he raps. He can be aggresive but can also be really emotional. I can only understand a little korean but I can feel the earnestness of this song with the few words I pick up.

I just remembered that during the lyric writing for Hellevator, he wanted "sweat and TEARS" to be emphasized, instead of the typical "blood and sweat"- could be a stretch but Changbin's character is like the most consistent

Changbins lyrics are always amazing, he constantly finds creative metaphors to represent emotions and situations and i absolutely love that

Fun fact: at 13:20 Changbin mentioned how Hyunjin’s and Chan’s vocals are layered in this section

The way Changbin managed to convey emotions through his voice and rap is magnificent. He really showed how music, no matter the language, can be felt and understood by everyone.

The dead tree with blue paint in the end represent "The blue tree project", the meaning is to help raise awareness on mental health. Helping to encourage people to open up about their mental health and talk about it since this song released during Mental Health awareness month. By spreading the paint and the message that "its okay to not be ok", that can help break the stigma that's still largely attached to mental health.

Hi, thank you for reacting to one of my favorite song of Stray Kids.. From what i have researched about the blue paint and the dead tree with blue paint its all about supporting people fighting from loneliness, depression or anxiety letting them know that they are not the only ones on this fight.. Changbin's song Streetlight from what i saw from videos he mentioned that he wrote the song to let others feel that they can be comforted through his music just as much he comforts himself while writing it..

This song saved my life and mental health twice ... It heals me every time I'm spending hard emotional situation... I feel like I'm not the only one that is suffering from these kind of feelings ... I'm not alone ...

the feeling I get from this is that he always cares bout the other (which is true, members often talked how he's always there when they need help or to get worries off their shoulder, he's basically a skz's mental supporter, especially for the younger ones) and he tends to fake his happiness in front of them so they see him as a strong pillar so they can lean on them more casually but on the other hand sometimes, when his bottled up emotions are overwhelming him and he is falling apart he dont want anyone to see him in this state but at the same time he want someone to comfort him, to listen to his worries. I may be over analyzing it bc its basically how i deal with my emotion but skz's music have a lot of space for listeners to interpret meanings of the song so everyone can have different interpretation of the same song and all of them can be true bc everyone have different worries and experiences. Okay I should probably end here bc i can write a whole 10 page essay about their music. Anyways. I love your reactions!

4:30 Changbin has said a few times that he is the member that the others go to for advice and support because he is a great listener but he never really talks about his worries or struggles to them. He keeps it all inside and puts up a strong front for them (trying to smile/ look bright around others despite what he's feelings) but in reality he feels truly lonely like that streetlight since he doesn't allow himself to confide in anyone. So when you were talking about the question mark changing the sentence from "you can lean on me" (him referring to his friends/members being able to talk to him about anything) to "but can I lean on you?" (Him asking himself if he can lean on them as well and be honest or if he should act strong for them and continue to bottle it all up inside) it really made me cry like a baby jnrvjrenmvfjirmfjtrkew Also i cant remember the translation exactly since I'm at the end of the video but he said something like "It must not be that bad because i can still endure it" as if even though he's so so lonely, he hasn't broken down yet and is still able to keep it all inside so it must not be as bad as he thinks... but then as it goes on he's realising he's struggling and it's getting more unbearable as time goes on and says "someone ask if I'm okay" because he's reached breaking point... IM SOBBING. Changbin is so artistic and poetic with with lyrics, i truly wish him all the happiness. WE LOVE YOU CHANGBIN

This song is very important for a lot of Stays because it's related both to loneliness and depression. I remember the first time I listened to this, it just came out so I didn't know the lyrics but the emotions in his voice was enough to make me cry. Then the words make it even better.

"Streetlight"- is about how people come to you for support when they are feeling sad but you yourself are feeling sad and alone. He uses the streetlight as a metaphor for how someone may look bright in the darkness but are actually sad and alone. The blue plant is supposed to represent the Blue Tree Project aimed at encouraging individuals to speak about their mental health with a message of “it’s OK to not be OK”. The blue paint was inspired by Jayden Whyte who painted a tree blue on his parents’ farm as a joke however later he committed suicide late 2018. Changbin and Stray Kids would want to encourage people to speak out either if you are feeling sad or to check on someone. You can donate to the project just type Blue Tree Project if you can’t than spread the message like me.

Chagbin's lyrics are always so beautiful. This song was just *chefs kiss* everything. Stays taking it as their fight song with depression while I'm seeing it as his inner struggle. the whole thing of him forcing a smile is just... sad. but they're idols and they have to sometimes fake their own emotions. They go through so much and I'm so grateful for them. >w< thank you for explaining more of the lyrics because I missed some of the meanings behind them. ^_^

I'm enjoying all of the recent releases because being a fan of multiple groups and soloists is difficult, but I'm having an A.C.E withdrawal. So, I'm not sure if you have listened to these songs already, but if possible I would love to see a reaction video to A.C.E's b-sides like Golden Goose, So Sick, Dessert, Black and Blue. Their single Stand By You is a beautiful song as well and it'll bless your ears. However, if you would like to see songs dedicated to fans then I suggest Clover, written by our leader Jun, and If You Heard. The list is getting longer and honestly though A.C.E has too many songs to love. I would also suggest checking out UNB too. It's another short-term contracted boy group put together through a show called The Unit. Although the contracted term of UNB was short they put out many enjoyable songs and our manly baby Chan from A.C.E was part of that same group as well.
