Stray Mama Mastiff Relaxes When Her Puppies Are Finally Safe 

Shout-out to the person who first wanted to adopt Anna, but wanted them to be adopted together more and still adopted another little pup!!

Mel is such an angel. She was meant to do this. The animals just respond to her.

Rocky, your energy is absolutely contagious. Currently, we have 7 Great Danes - not by choice - but by destiny. 5 of them were rescues. Can we afford them? No. But we eat a lot of casseroles! The dogs eat high on the hog! Shoog was labeled a 1 on emaciation. Callie was left tied to a tree for two days. Poppy was on a 2’ chain grounded by a piece of rebar. No food. No water. Otis Ray was “too big.” REALLY? A BIG Great Dane? CHINKA went through a divorce and came out of it with no home. And life goes on on the mountain where 7 Great Danes rock it. We wouldn’t have any other way.

Can't imagine not adopting a dog because he only has one ear ! This has nothing to do with his soul as having the potential to be someones' best friend !! He obviously wants to love and be loved... doesn't this apply to all of us ? Thanks so much to Rocky and all thise involved with rescuing and making the effort to find all animals the life they deserve..

I just adopted a 10 year old cat and drove 1175 miles round trip. I found out from the foster home, that I was not the farthest driving adopter. She was in TN and had someone drive in from Colorado. It was two long days in the car, but kitty is a champ and fits right in with my other two. THANK YOU TO ALL YOU FOSTER HOMES OUT THERE. YOU ARE AMAZING AND DOING GREAT WORK.

Mel is amazing. Washing and grooming a dog is not easy. She does it with any dog off the street like clockwork. What a special woman. You are a gift Mel.

I'm a cat person, but I'm genuinely so happy whenever I hear about any animal getting adopted. I wish it was possible to find them all homes.

My wife and I have adopted dogs from the local shelter but now that I am 87 years old I have physical problems that restrict my movements so I feel that if I adopted another animal and I died it would cause the dog to either wind up in a bad situation or destroyed . Oh man Charlie just😭 broke my heart to see him so scared but i just bawled when he put up his paw. I love him so much. May he heal and live extra long with so much love, treats and cuddles!

That Labrador takes the treats and you can see he is trying to take it without biting you. My border collie did that. Best dog ever that one. Superbly gentle.

I have my 4th senior rescue adoption right now, spending the last 20 years loving my elder pups has been one of the most precious experiences I have had in life. Now that I'm getting older, the lessons I have learned from their unconditional love, will to thrive and never ending desire to live life to the fullest - are all things that help me face my challenges as I face age related issues now. As much as I have given to them, they have shared so much more with me.... senior pups are special angels. 💓

I am beyond happy for Charlie. He was so shut down and now he looks so very happy in Chocolate Lab heaven. All his siblings make such a house full! I hope Vinnie finds his forever home as well as Mastiff mama. Every dog deserves a great home. Tail wags!!

I adopted a border collie/ corgi mix from a shelter that rescued him from a kill shelter he was on the list for being put down. He was such a good dog with no problems except being food aggressive which went away shortly after he came home. Two months after we were walking in a mall I saw a border collie/ corgi mix that was just a few months old and was for sale for $1,200.

Can we just talk about Mel and what a gem she is? These pups need this gentle, loving soul to help them through this scary time.

That broke my heart when you said they brought momma mastiff back after adopting her with her baby...I can't imagine. I really hope someone adopts her soon or even better one of the people who adopted one of her babies!

My brother has adopted labs for many years. He started when his two kids were little. I have lost count of how many he has adopted, old ones, young ones. He has adopted a few that were abused. He gave them a good life with so much love and care, he spoils all of them, they lived out the rest of their lives with him in comfort and love with him and his family. Rescued are the only dogs they would have.

The lady that cleans the dogs is amazing. You can see how much she loves dogs, they can sense that! Love your content!!

I'm always impressed when I see that someone has fostered a dog to help them get ready for adoption. I think it would be great if you could post and describe the procedure for becoming a foster parent. Lots of folks are either not aware of fostering or don't understand how it works. There are probably a lot of potential foster parents out there. You guys are awesome.

Brit here who loves your program, lovely to see a Dalmatian! they became hugely popular during the 101 Dalmatian era, then they seemed to disappear, maybe because as you rightly say they require oodles of exercise as they are a bouncy highly energetic dog, and not a little wonder they were carriage dogs, they would run aside the carriages protecting travellers and horses along the highways and byways so they needed to have immense stamina , btw they were originally known as The Talbot Hound and today in the UK you will still see olde Coaching Inns named the Talbot Inn or Arms after the dogs which once accompanied the horse drawn coaches on there journeys to the Inns for rest bite.

Whoever had Charlie abused Charlie needs arrested, and not allowed around animals, probably children too. Shame on these abusers, God thank you for Rocky Kanaka, and all the living people who are able to help these fur babies.

Greta. What the HECK??!! She’s so sweet. I inherited a yorkie they had used for breeding. My son-in-law and daughter adopted 2of them and gave me one. She was tiny, 4 pounds, only had one eye, lost most of her hair, her teeth were rotten, and she started to leave a path of bloody drips. I took her to the vet. (The people wrote that she just like Cheetos. They fed her Cheetos) She was really skinny. Anyway, she’d had a caesarean, and they didn’t give her her antibiotic and her uterus was so full of infection it was the size of a puppy. I got her a hysterectomy, teeth pulled, and everything. I bathed her, got her groomed and was told her hair wouldn’t grow back. I started feeding her canned dog food. Her hair grew back, and she had long silky coat. I loved her. I had her for almost 2 years but she started to fall off. I took her to my vet and he said her kidneys were shutting down and recommended I put her to sleep. I took her home and loved on her, and in a few days, I took her back to the vet. Sitting in the waiting room with her on my lap, she suddenly made this loud cry and died right there. It was so traumatic. I cried and cried. How can people be so cruel to a tiny little dog. A sweet little one eyed dog.

Mel is what makes the difference. Everytime she gives a dog a bath it's completely amazing how they react to her. Mel is definitely an angel 😇

In france if you give up a dog to the shelter , you have to pay, the dog adoption is a serious act and commitment !! and neglect animals is punished by law

I have a chocolate Lab and the contrast between how she and every other chocolate Lab I've met acts, and Charlie, is just heartbreaking. What happened to get a dog from such a friendly, cheerful breed to be growly and terrified? And seeing a *Lab* refuse treats...

Rocky, as a dog training now with a spinal injury, you sitting with dogs, your updates and the love you show these rescue dogs brings me so much joy. I specialized in rescue dogs and adjusting them to new homes with training. I often am talking to the screen telling you do this, try that, o yes, yes!! 😅

My Doberman was so active even up to 4 years old. So, I taught him to heel the left front fender of my car going 15-20 NPH. He would do that for 45 minutes. Then we could play frisbee and just walking around a park. He learned so quickly and allied my rescue squirrel to ride on his back in the house. I loved that dog so much. His name Billyjaxx.

I'm 9 minutes in and have lumps in my throat and water in my eyes. 4 years now with my Yorkie and I don't know how I would make it without her.

Dogs missing limbs or other body parts shouldn't deter people from adopting. They are just as loving and funny as any other dog. I have a 3 legged dog and she is a wonderful addition to our family. She brought out the puppy in our 10 year old dog and always gives me a reason to laugh.

I lost my lab a year ago. She was my first ever dog. I got her when she was 10 weeks old. She lived 8 weeks shy of being 15 years old. I miss her tremendously. She was my best friend. We did everything together ❤️

Charlie broke my heart 💔 Labs of all colors are the most friendly dogs out there! My son has only had black labs. We had a yellow lab when the boys were little and my youngest son has had 2 black labs as an adult. They are the best dogs ever! Good luck Charlie…you’re a beautiful boy ❤❤❤

My dog is a Pitt mix and it looks like he's part dalmatian. He has one blue eye and one brown eye. He's so sweet and so calm. Totally opposite of the pittmatian, Astro. He's a rescue too. He was supposedly kept in a crate that was too small for him 24/7 except to go potty. Now he's a spoiled rotten boy.
