Someone special! We can appreciate it, but just how many animals have been thrown their last-chance life-line by Mel? The number of dogs she has saved by upping their spirits and restoring their faith in humans must be recorded and recognized!
I loved how the little girl was just following Penny around. She was not getting attention, but she just stayed right there to get her chance to touch Penny.
For the people that adopted Charlie, thank you for being the heroes he needed. Im glad that you two took a chance on him & now he is living his best life.
I’m new this show. I just got to see the golden lab 😅 I’m over taken with emotion 😂 I had a dog identical to this precious doggie!! I got him away from an abusive situation I took him home with me and my husband 😂 I had him for the rest of his life for fourteen years Seeing this wonderful dog today was like seeing my Sammie again,! I would dearly love to have the opportunity to adopt her I live in N.H.
Oh man Charlie just😭 broke my heart to see him so scared but i just bawled when he put up his paw. I love him so much. May he heal and live extra long with so much love, treats and cuddles!
I just adopted a 10 year old cat and drove 1175 miles round trip. I found out from the foster home, that I was not the farthest driving adopter. She was in TN and had someone drive in from Colorado. It was two long days in the car, but kitty is a champ and fits right in with my other two. THANK YOU TO ALL YOU FOSTER HOMES OUT THERE. YOU ARE AMAZING AND DOING GREAT WORK.
Can't imagine not adopting a dog because he only has one ear ! This has nothing to do with his soul as having the potential to be someones' best friend !! He obviously wants to love and be loved... doesn't this apply to all of us ? Thanks so much to Rocky and all thise involved with rescuing and making the effort to find all animals the life they deserve..
Me neither. I want to put people that do this to animals in a cage where they can’t sit or stand in properly. In the backyard. Nowhere to toilet. Minimal sub quality food. No relief from weather. And basically ignored until you look like Greta. Then you’ll be driven in silence and dumped in some park in your dirty stinky clothes, no money, no phone, no paperwork.
Charlie broke my heart. Between your time and treats & Mel's special bath I know he must've felt better. OMG!! Someone adopted Charlie!! Yeah!!🤗🙋🏻♀️💜🙏🌻🐕
That Labrador takes the treats and you can see he is trying to take it without biting you. My border collie did that. Best dog ever that one. Superbly gentle.
My brother has adopted labs for many years. He started when his two kids were little. I have lost count of how many he has adopted, old ones, young ones. He has adopted a few that were abused. He gave them a good life with so much love and care, he spoils all of them, they lived out the rest of their lives with him in comfort and love with him and his family. Rescued are the only dogs they would have.
It is nice that they got to stay together. I guess my sticking point is that if they weren't a bonded pair (ie became extremely anxious and depressed apart) then they could have been separated with little issue. Dogs do love and bond with other dogs like they do with people, but the concept of "blood-relation" purely a human concept. I'm curious now if that was the case here and that's why they had to be adopted together.
I'm curious about the walk in adoptions. Don't the animal shelters require a home check to be carried out before placing an animal with an adopter.? If not, the dog could be going back to the same type of environment they came from. In the UK a home check is common practice
@@janiceal-najjar5093 Some rescues do more thorough checks, but most shelters just require a questionnaire and that you own your home or have landlord approval. The forms I have filled out asked about pet ownership history and vet info. It seemed more of an honor system and hope for the best.
Black and White Young Australian Shepard I’m from Australia and I know these dogs love being high up on the back of a Ute so they can see everyone and everything They are so smart they get bored on the floor
I have a very abused runaway yellow lab. Our journey has been difficult and often still is. She is a beautiful dog and I have a cat colony, she loves the cats and helps me take care of them by alerting me when they fight or when someone is crying and I don't hear them. By saying she loves them doesn't mean that she plays with them or allows them to aggravate her, she's far too serious or wounded for that but she's serious about her duty to take care of them. I could tell you heartbreaking stories as the revelations unfolded of what might have happened to her. Your channel has conveyed to me that even after these 5 or 6 years that I've had her change can still occur and she and I can grow closer.
bless the person who had a hold on Anna, that is real love, to understand what's best for 'your' dog, and readily agree to her being adopted together with her sister.💞💞💞
❤️ YES, TRULY A BEAUTIFUL SOUL TO LET THE COUPLE ADOPT THE "SISTERS" TOGETHER 😊 SO GRATEFUL TO HEAR SHE ADOPTED ANOTHER DOG & SAVED THAT SWEET PUP TOO! SUCH AN INSPIRATIONAL STORY FOR ALL 🥰🐾🌹🐾
I'm always impressed when I see that someone has fostered a dog to help them get ready for adoption. I think it would be great if you could post and describe the procedure for becoming a foster parent. Lots of folks are either not aware of fostering or don't understand how it works. There are probably a lot of potential foster parents out there. You guys are awesome.
@keithm8557 Yes, I agree. Especially in Franklin County, North Carolina, where unadopted animals are euthanized on a regular basis. Their pictures are then pictured post humusly in the local newspaper. It's a good effort on the county's part to hold pet owners accountable for their negligence. There are so many beautiful and deserving animals in our local shelters. So scary and sad for them. I appreciate Rocky raising awareness
YAY!!!!!! Charlie!!!! He broke my heart, and his adopters put it back together! Thank you Rocky, and community for saving Charlie. He needed someone to see past that first growl.
Mel is such a sweetheart. What an angel she is for these poor doggies. You can tell they all feel her peaceful, gentle nature💛 may she always be blessed.
I am beyond happy for Charlie. He was so shut down and now he looks so very happy in Chocolate Lab heaven. All his siblings make such a house full! I hope Vinnie finds his forever home as well as Mastiff mama. Every dog deserves a great home. Tail wags!!
Thankyou so much i alsojust kind of stumbled on to this chanel and iam so glad i did i love what your able to do for these animal i wish i could do that but i’ll just be really happy that some people actually a lot of people are taking care of these wonderful animals again i love it 😍 thankyou all you great and big and sweethearts out there it does put faith back into humanity and helps us all to remember our kindness and compassion is everything 🥰🐕🦮🐕🦺🐩🦋🐬🌏🌎🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺😘☮️☮️💟💟🌈🌈🌈🦘🦘🦘🙏🙏🙏🙏
Rocky, your energy is absolutely contagious. Currently, we have 7 Great Danes - not by choice - but by destiny. 5 of them were rescues. Can we afford them? No. But we eat a lot of casseroles! The dogs eat high on the hog! Shoog was labeled a 1 on emaciation. Callie was left tied to a tree for two days. Poppy was on a 2’ chain grounded by a piece of rebar. No food. No water. Otis Ray was “too big.” REALLY? A BIG Great Dane? CHINKA went through a divorce and came out of it with no home. And life goes on on the mountain where 7 Great Danes rock it. We wouldn’t have any other way.
You are special people. I sometimes feel there are different ' species' of human beings that we haven't discovered yet. People who rescue are are a whole different type of person xxxx
Mollyrobinette……..you are an Angel….so many Great Danes! What love you must be getting. We have 6 dogs but they are all small except for one….we love them all. Dogs are so special…..oh, we also have two inside cats and 8 outside cats!
Ahh, May you all be blessed! I have only had rescues in my life! Dogs are Angels. Thank you so much for rescuing your fur family! Lots and lots of love to all of you! Susan from Canada ❤
You could start a RU-vid channel just showing all your Great Danes, and you could just show daily life! And ask for help with feeding them. Keyush the Stunt Dog channel has a channel where she has a wish list on Amazon of foods and treats, and people send them to the dog. It would totally work! You don't even have to show yourself if you're camera shy.
I have my 4th senior rescue adoption right now, spending the last 20 years loving my elder pups has been one of the most precious experiences I have had in life. Now that I'm getting older, the lessons I have learned from their unconditional love, will to thrive and never ending desire to live life to the fullest - are all things that help me face my challenges as I face age related issues now. As much as I have given to them, they have shared so much more with me.... senior pups are special angels. 💓
God bless you for caring for these angels on earth…I love them too with all my heart. Have not been without dogs since I was 5… They are my heart. ❤️🐾❤️
Such a beautiful way to share your love, to cherish those who need it the most. Animals will always teach us to be a stronger and better version of ourselves. Thankyou for being their special human 🥰💕
I was trying to unwind for the evening, maybe watch a little animal humor video when your video popped up. i have bing watched 3 episodes now. 😳 What a kind soul, you are amazing , sir. When you tell the dogs, I'm sorry for what you've been through". The energy of those words is soothing to their soul. You can see it on camera. Just amazing .Keep up the good work. Be ever blessed! ❤
I am so glad that I found this, I am a veterinary technician who works with a lot of shelter dogs in hospital. This man has a heart of gold ! Thank you for doing this ❤
Omg tears fall as I type this...This HAS BEEN THE SWEETEST VIDEO I'VE LITERALLY EVER WATCHED! THE TRUE CARE AND COMPASSION YOU EXUDE FOR THESE FUR BABIES IS JUST BEAUTIFUL TO WITNESS!!! GOD BLESS YOU AND ALL THE TIME AND LOVE YOU GIVE SO SELFLESSLY IS AMAZING!!! WE NEED MORE PPL LIKE YOU IN THE WORLD, YOU'RE TRULY MAKING A DIFFERENCE💯 IN ALL YOU DO!I'VE BEEN SUPER DEPRESSED Lately, you just helped me smile for the 1st time in a long while!!! Thanks 4 touching my heart and opening my heart and eyes ...
Thank you sir for all that you do to help these great animals . My wife and I have adopted dogs from the local shelter but now that I am 87 years old I have physical problems that restrict my movements so I feel that if I adopted another animal and I died it would cause the dog to either wind up in a bad situation or destroyed . Thank you again sir for what you do to help these great animals .😊
@@chadsimmons6347 You are misreading what @petedube9367 said. He said if he died, he can't guarantee where his dog would end up and it could be a bad situation. So he is choosing to be responsible and not bring another dog into his home that he can't give the best life to. Learn to read and comprehend before you run your mouth.
YOu may want to consider becoming a foster, & then specify your needs & requirements for the animals you are able & willing to foster. Just a thought. 😊
The right shelter takes the time to match dogs with their forever homes. And they know what they’re doing. To adopt my dog I had to go through four zoom interviews and then I was approved and matched with my dog. Dozens of dogs were rescued in Mexico and driven all the way up to New Jersey where I finally got to meet him. Barnaby (deer head chihuahua) and I are perfect for each other. They did an amazing job!
Seeing how scared Charlie was is absolutely devastating. And you got it 100% correct. Labs are always so happy and carefree that it feels so wrong to see anything else. Whoever did that to that poor sweet baby, I hope that that karma catches up to them 100 fold. And I hope they are never ever able to do that to another animal ever again.
Yes.. can't imagine the cruelty anybody could do like that to a or defenseless beautiful dog. While I don't know their circumstances, it's still unforgivable for anyone to starve a dog into that condition.. that ought to be jailed!
Rocky... you have my ULTIMATE respect being able to go into shelters and help these babies. I cant. I do dog rescue, but cant handle shelters... Happy news here in Detroit! Two BONDED sibling pitties found a forever home TOGETHER. Made my week. I was beyond thrilled. Keep up the GREAT WORK!!
Thank you for talking to them, for apologizing and telling them it's going to be okay. Bless their heart, they have been through so much. Those gentle souls deserve the best life with so much love. 👏🐾💙
Mel does a great job in skill and kindness. Thank you to Steve and Marsha for giving Charlie a home. The Night Drop is a nice idea. Updates are appreciated.
It looks like some evil human taped his muzzle 😢 to see a lab so shut down and scared is heartbreaking. I haven't watched the whole video but I hope someone realises he's behaving like this through fear not because he's a bad dog. No bad dogs just bad people.
Mel is such a sweetheart. So glad these dogs that need a little extra love and attention have her grooming them. There’s still good people left in the world. Much respect. 💪💪💙
That broke my heart when you said they brought momma mastiff back after adopting her with her baby...I can't imagine. I really hope someone adopts her soon or even better one of the people who adopted one of her babies!
Thank you I was waiting for this comment! if she was abused as a breeder her puppies were taken away from her again- after all that. Can you imagine how that feels; my heart is breaking for sweetie....
In france if you give up a dog to the shelter , you have to pay, the dog adoption is a serious act and commitment !! and neglect animals is punished by law
I hope people can overlook Vince’s missing ear. We adopted a pittie that has very little hair on his back end and someone pulled his front teeth. He also had patches of hair missing on his shoulder from cancer surgery. Even with all his issues, he is the sweetest dog and I wouldn’t change a thing about him. Except for the cancer that came back and another surgery. But he’s recovered from that and we’re doing whatever we can to slow the progression.
My dog is a Pitt mix and it looks like he's part dalmatian. He has one blue eye and one brown eye. He's so sweet and so calm. Totally opposite of the pittmatian, Astro. He's a rescue too. He was supposedly kept in a crate that was too small for him 24/7 except to go potty. Now he's a spoiled rotten boy.
Rocky, your channel has shot to the top of my favorite channels - I can’t stop watching! You have become my hero, the world needs more real men like you. Thank you soooo much for everything you do.
My Zues had 1hr till been put down because he also growled every time someone came close. He is half English staff and half black Labrador, so he looks like a black Keg on Legs with a ridge back when growling. I seen him on Facebook and can only say God blessed us both that day 3 years ago. His best friend is our 13-year-old cat and they both go for walks with me every morning. Love from Mildura Australia, along the Murry River.
Mel is amazing. Washing and grooming a dog is not easy. She does it with any dog off the street like clockwork. What a special woman. You are a gift Mel.
I just want to take a moment and give a big THANK YOU to everyone who has adopted a shelter animal and shared your love and family with a furbaby that is in need. Also, thank you, Rocky, for all that you do.❤
I worked as a vet tech before becoming a nurse, these videos make me wanna rewind my career choices & go back to animals 😊 Love all you do & Mel and the other woman singing are so kind. Beautiful work all of you do ❤
I love how Mel is so surprised by how much praise she gets from all of us, it’s her beautiful humble soul, the animals feel, which is why I think they feel safe with her 💯🙏🙏 Mel, I just love what your doing putting the word out there, and it blows my mind how many different breeds are in shelters, even designer breeds, and pure bloods, I love huskies, my old girl is a malamute x white German Shepard, and when I say old girl, she’s 17, so I curious about the beautiful huskies I’ve seen in your videos 🫶
Lisa was a smart woman! She picked up Anna and Elsa together, which is the best thing for all of them. The dogs won't have separation anxiety, and will sleep comfortably together. As long as they have each other, they will be content to try new things. Being so little, and then being alone in a new home, would be a big scary thing for them. Keeping them together gives them the confidence they need to love their new pet parents, and to explore their new home! I loved seeing them all together in the video.
Pugsley found the perfect home. Pugsley playing with toys warmed my heart. I could tell Penny was a smart girl. Man, these dogs got wonderful families!
Thank you for everything you’ve been doing. We love our rescue baby so much! We want to get another when we move into our forever home in October. Saving the animals is such a great thing. :)
Please, when you read this, do not be offended, but what does "not being a dog person mean "?" Have you had a bad experience? Does dog hair bother you? Does licking you out of love and affection cause issues? Does having to walk them cause issues like a wet coat or dirty feet or having to pick up their 💩 I'm just genuinely curious bc since I am an animal lover of all creatures, I've heard this said b4 and don't understand what makes a person not a specific lover of a specified animal. Reiterating, this is not a question I ask lightly, just curious as to thoughts of people who make this type of statement. Thank you.
Best pupdate ever! Thank you for making a difference for these sweet souls. Beyond happy for all the pups but especially Charlie. To see him in a loving home with other happy dogs is a gift. 💕💕
