The blending tip was a duh moment for me. I think "i should have known that" 😄I do now and won't forget... I'm saving this video! I like to use water based markers but have only used Crayola supertips. I like them! I bet i will like them even more now! I'm eager to do some testing on papers and find out what i can do. Thank you, thank you!!👍😍
Thank you. I am glad I was helpful. 👍🤓 I should think your crayolas would work well. As an art teacher, I have a high opinion of crayola. Let me know how it goes for you. 👽🖖
Wow awesome tips !! Many things i never knew or thought about . My favortie tip was the lines coloring, and to color jaggedy! Im guilty of coloring in a way that creates lines, especially with my crayola supertips
Hi Doole Robot! Thank you for this lesson. I only use waterbased markers for tiny spaces, because of the streaks. So i don’t use them verry much, wich is a pitty because i have a couple of verry nice big sets. I am going to try this out! I hope it wil become nice like yours…Thank you!
Excellent!! I hope this works out for you because if you have nice big sets... It's a shame to just have them sitting there. Let me know how it goes. Happy coloring!! 👍🤓👽🖖
Thank you! You know it seems like something we should know if we use water based markers at all, but we just don’t think about it. I have been struggling a bit but I still love the water based markers. Thanks for shedding some light on the issues. I will try this.
I've been using Tombow's to colour my own (amateur) comic book, and this was the big problem I was having. All of my big spaces looked streaky. Very happy I found your video. A simple, effective lesson. Thanks.
Hahaha. Glad to hear it. I hope it works out for you. A note though: they don't work on all paper. Some papers just pill right away. I just ran across that in my Occult and Folklore book. Happy coloring. 🤍🖖👽
Hi Doodle Robot!! Just wanted to check in and let you know that I am using the tips you shared with my Bic Intensity markers in my color by number books and NO MORE STREAKS!! 🤩 My pages look so much better!! Thank you again for your tutorials. Please teach us more!!!
🎉💙🥳 Woohoo!! That is awesome! You made my day. Thank you for letting me know. I was worried people wouldn't get my same results. Sigh of relief here. Have a great week. 👍🤓👽🖖
This is awesome, thank you so much - what is obvious to some may not be to others. I'll be more careful of piling and drying times. Excellent presentation/demo, you should be a teacher ;) (jest)
Thanks for the demo it makes perfect sense now that I see it, I have had streaking too and don’t like to use my Tombows except in little areas because they leave streaks! So this helps big time! Thank you so much!
Thank you. I am glad to hear that. Please let me know how it goes. I have never used the super tips. I know that some people swear by them. Good luck!! Happy coloring. 👍😁👽🖖
I've had this exact set for months &haven't used because I thought they were water color, &when I realized they were water based I wanted to avoid streaks. Thanks!
Thank you so much for this great video! I've always loved colouring with markers, ever since I was a child. The only thing I didn't like were the streaks. I tried alcohol markers and they work great, but I always get a bad taste in my mouth, I'm quite sensitive to the smell. Now I'm off to amazon to order these, I love working with brush tips and you have a fineliner too, it doesn't get better than that.
Now that you have explained it, it makes perfect sense, especially the letting it dry between the coats part. I tend to be lazy and just apply the Satin Glaze. Then I can apply several coats of water based markers for desired depth or even blend them on the page. It is quite rough on the marker nibs but since I'm mainly using cheapo sets, I don't much care 😁 But I am now curious to try out your method. Thank you for sharing!👍
I personally have never noticed a smell. And I have trouble with certain chemicals and smells. I would say, buy from Amazon so if there is a problem you can return it with no problem. Go for it. 👍🤓🖖👽
Don't the second and third coats of the marker bleed through the page? Maybe not, because you allow it to dry between coats. Will be trying this very soon. Thank you for the tip.
