The swale can be one dangourous river when rising, i was fishing it one day, not to far from where you were fishing, lovly sunny day, then i notices some braches washing down stream, within 15 minute it had risen 4ft. The big one might of been one of the brownies tourists cousins, right time of year for them.
Man! Similar thing happened to me last weekend in Wales. Fishing an articulated streamer with a wool head, I even cut the wool back on the underside to expose more hook gape and finally managed a nice chub, but failed to hook or had spat hooks on a half-dozen trout. Sometimes just not the day.. Hope your knee mends up and nice work on the videos.
Good to see you back! Hope knee continues to heal. One of those days! That artic streamer was quite a unit! I finally managed a 2lb plus wildie on the streamer last weekend, but it's only been recently that things have picked up as autumn progresses. Take care, look after yourself 😊

Probably a sestrout you hooked. I was spinning yesterday and hooked a seatrout of 3 and half pound. Not massive but the fight was unbelievable. At one point id thought i had lost it and was hooked into a snag, but it was just the fish had stopped and wouldnt budge for a few seconds. And that was me using a spinning rod and it bring under 4 pounds, so you can imagine what it would be like if you hooked a 10 pound one!
