Lux seems to be dead (also I didn't see Ahri in this one), somewhere in the ingame visual novel says that they made a statue for Lux Apparently Rakkan absorbed all the darkness from Xayah in that ligh and shadow video, so he seems to be either dead or corrupted but Xayah doesn't know Idk what happened to Kaisa and Akali, but I think they used to be besties but Kaisa chose her responsibility as star guardian over her friendship (that's why she gave her bracelete for her powers) and Akali went rogue And I'm seeing some art of Miss Fortune being corrupted now so...

It goes like this. Lux squad was first introduced, then Ahri squad was next. But first, lux squad thought they were the only star guardians in the universe, only to find theres ahri squad too in another planet. Ahri squad battle zoe, but came in defeat, with both rakan and xayah dead, and neeko presumed missing or dead. Ahri feared losing new guardians , so she took a break, as she lost 3 of them. Sometime later, both teams met and teamed up for training. (They even had a slumber party) Sometime later, neeko(member presumed dead) battled zoe again as zoe was finding her, and that she is also battling xayah and rakan, but are now corrupted by zoe, making them villains. (Except for rakan, since he still has consciousness, and protects xayah from the corruption they have). Neeko was nearly turned by corruption, but ahri saves her last minute, with hopes of not losing a chnace to save the three. Riot never disclosed details about that fight, but years later something chnaged. Xayah is back, but Rakan is not, since he sacrificed himself to save Xayah from the corruption, by absorbing it and thus leaving his corruption more powerful. So the once caring BF turned pure villain, while Xayah is safe. She now leads another team with Seraphine, Orianna, and Senna.(as replacements for ahri team, idk what happened to all of them) While replacements for lux team are Kaisa, Syndra, Taliyah, Ekko. And thats what happened so far in Star Guardians While back on

Kaisa and akali werent star gaurdians until the fight where rakan died defending the star gaurdians from zoe. This is right afterward where xayah is still greiving rakans death and there are new gaurdians with kaisa.

if you read the new SG story Twin Stars, Xayah's parts is even more sad. There is a also a comic called "star crossed" that explains Xayah new team a bit more. As for the kaisa part,most of it is metaphoric or maybe her dream

TLDR, Bird Girl (Xayah) and her mate with the blue feathers (Rakan) were both corrupted as star gaurdians. They were raised again to serve the evil star guardians and xayahs hatred that she felt left to die by her team made her almost willing to serve them. Rakan didnt want to serve the evil star guardians and essentially bided his time until he managed to have other guardians save xayah and he took the full corruption into himself and died. She feels guilty for serving and misses him. Kaisa and akali were firends as kids but akali sort of hates that star gaurdians means youre gonna eventually die and or lose the people you care about. Kaisa is constantly putting other people first to her own detriment. not really sure why they act like akali is dead here

EMOTIONAL DAMAGE 😭😂

To clear things up, Akali and Kai’sa are besties (lit), however, Kai’sa has a thing where she always puts others before herself, which Akali hates because of while both Akali and Kai’sa were present for the final fight against Zoe, Kai’sa was inspired by the Star Guardians of their willingness to sacrifice themselves for others (Rakan saving Xayah at the cost of his own life), while Akali, seeing how this completely destroyed Xayah and built a massive amount of distrust because Ahri KNEW Xayah was still alive and left her, while Miss Fortune was being eaten alive by guilt because she tried to save both Xayah and Rakan but Ahri told her that they were dead, so she dislikes the concept and wanted to be able to be a Star Guardian, but on her OWN terms. The statue of Lux was built because now everyone knows exactly who saved them (the existence of Star Guardians was previously kept a secret, now the world knows), and both teams left Valoran to search for Rakan, with Xayah creating a new team for that purpose (because he’s still alive, just fully corrupted now and Xayah does NOT trust Ahri at all), which is the story thats followed in Wild Rift. In LoL, we follow the story of Akali and Kai’sa, in which Akali goes Rogue because she can’t stand to watch Kai’sa so desperately trying to live up to a destiny that she doesn’t have to, which outs a strain on their friendship because Kai’sa seemingly cares more about leading a team than caring about the bonds themselves that created said team.

Honestly I am such a league lore nerd hehe and take anything to learn about it and I love learning about it hehehe. Anyways, reading the story in the universe I cried even more reacting to the video. 😭😭 I love the lore!!

Did you see when seraphine and everyone hug xayah the corruption form vanished and xayah turn back to a uncorrupted star gaurdian

I can try to give some insight; First off the Star Guardian universe seems to be split up into "multiple troupes," per say. The original was lead by Lux, but a statue of her has been erected so not sure if she died (and then what happened to the rest of her team) or if it's simply a generational thing and she's like "the original Star Guardian" and now the younger generations are simply taking up the mantle. The next seems to be led by Ahri, and Zoey acts as the main villain, and the Xayah arc featured only in Wild Rift for some reason appears to be a continuation of that storyline we saw in the previous cinematic. The final one is the new one that revolves around Kai'Sa and Akali, that I believe is a more direct call back to the OG troupe with Lux and a bit more removed from the events of the previous cinematic, even having their own villains in Morgana and Fiddlesticks. As for each storyline, the one with Xayah as mentioned takes place right after the last cinematic, apparently Xayah felt abandoned by her compatriots and was working for Zoey (as seen by her trying to kill Neeko), but Rakan never succumbed to the corruption and was instead siphoning it out of Xayah as he waited for the other Star Guardians to find and rescue them. When they finally did, Rakan took the rest of the corruption from Xayah so she could escape, sacrificing himself in the process. Now Xayah blames herself, ofc, and the Wild Rift arc revolves around her trying to save Rakan from the corruption. Many people seem to think that he died in the process, but I thought it was pretty clear he was simply locked away in Zoey's realm, as Xayah was meant to be, otherwise why would she go looking for him? The second looks new, and though many refer to Akali and Kai'Sa as "besties" I think Riot is inferring it's more then that. Honestly I think they're doing that typical anime trope of having a pair of same sex protagonists only ever refer to each other as "close friends" but act far closer then that, but then never expound on it, so as to reel in the people who want them to be more but never actually say "gay" cause it can chase away some more close minded fans. I think that's what's happening here, not for that reason (as Riot has shown they don't mind making characters gay), but that trope is fairly common in anime and Riot is likely trying to emulate those anime vibes, and "magical girl" anime's are really prone to this, that included. But nonetheless, out of my understanding, Akali isn't dead but she's dabbled into the darkness, the realm of Morgana and Fiddlesticks, because she doesn't agree with the self-sacrifice most Star Guardians prescribe to, and it's corrupting her but as per typical Akali fashion she believes herself above it and able to handle it. Kai'Sa, being her "close friend," sees this and chooses to join the Star Guardians against Akali's wishes in order to try and save Akali from the corruption. Their story revolves around that relationship. Hopefully that provides some insights, but that's just what I've gathered by reading about it online so I might be missing some details or missed the mark a bit on something. I also got emotional with this video, though. The Star Guardian skin line is not one I spend money on, but I've always been able to connect to music very keenly, and even without the visuals behind it this song brings tears to my eyes, in a good way ofc, but holy shit is Porter ever fucking good at this in particular lol

So Akali and Rakan might not be dead but they are under control of Morgana and Fiddlesticks which are the 2 big baddies for this event. Xayah is still searching for Rakan to save him just as he did for her against Zoe. He fully corrupted himself on purpose to save her and used the power of chaos to help stop her. Wild Rift will see the Redeemed Xayah and Rakan skins (No shot for us who only play on LoL). I just watched more of the story on the event for Akali and she willingly gives in to the chaos to try to save herself from being tormented by Fiddlesticks while the others had teamed up with Syndra and Zoe to stop him

I’m in a long distance relationship with my girlfriend. We’re having difficulties getting accepted by my parents. in my opinion tho, kai'sa and akali is a couple. one of the person working in the project claimed so. it's a canon guys. I think the reason would be that they always put each other first. kai'sa would sacrifice herself, vice-versa for akali. you'll know if you read the novel. akali was dissapointed and betrayed when kai'sa traded their bracelet for the star guardian position. she didn't want her to. kai'sa even kissed the bracelet before giving it to lux so she prob did regret it but she did so to reunite with akali who's in the dark side. another cool detail if you notice, when lux was exchanging the 'star' for the pink flower bracelet, the star was in half, hinting that the other broken half might be owned by akali. they need to be combined.
