Ooooo the decreasing point totals would be much more like bar trivia. Good idea! I'm on the fence about negative points though. I don't want them ringing in recklessly without consequence. Like the bonus round finish may not have been as epic otherwise.

I understand your point. I just think that to lose the chance to give another answer is fair enough. Because you let an opportunity to your opponent to extend the gap if you guess wrong. And the end race is often more epic when everyone can still win. If Firebat had given a bad answer earlier it would have ended there anyway. Just my opinion. You decide. ^^

Maybe you could always "just" lose 100 points and not as many as you would earn in the later rounds?

Yep. The consequence is that you buzzed too soon and that you let your opponent take the points. Like the other rounds.

Debries Yeah I was thinking something like Battlecry: Reveal your opponent's hand and gain +1/+1 for each card revealed. Deals double damage to female minions and heroes. (email reference lol)

Yea we've been thinking about that so it's more like bar trivia. But we'd have to remove negative points which we're not sure we want to do quite yet. Also it would affect how questions are designed. You're not meant to get the answer off the first clue right now. It's supposed to slowly paint a picture. If it was more like bar trivia, I feel people that are hard core should be able to get the answer definitively off the first clue which would be less entertaining IMO

Actually the undertaker priest was developed by Zetalot originally I believe. Kibler was a little later

I don't claim to have invented the deck as it was quite others who also made similar decks early on. My list was the most refined list before the release came out. and believe it or not it took about week into the expansion before deathrattle priest became even remotely a thing on ladder.

Oh totally get ya. I was just saying Zetalot made it popular with his refined version. It's just like MSOG for me. I was playing a jade shaman deck minus 1-2 cards from the current list and it took 1.5 months before it became popular in the ladder meta. These days with so much netdecking, streamers and notable players have the most influence on top meta.

Oh no yeah I totally get it, I lay no claim in making it popular. Also that's the beauty of new expansions. you can actually make new innovations that work competitively. I was thinking that after the next expansion died down and the meta grew stale again I would try and make some innovations in wild since I think with so many cards being there. There's probably still room for improvement and innovation in that format :)

TBH looking for innovations and problem solving should never stop no matter how stale people think the meta is. The reason why people get so frustrated and disinterested is because they feel like they have to play the shaman deck because it is the top deck. It's always possible to counter the top deck but most people don't bother because they are told Shaman is the top deck so they just keep playing it even if it makes them miserable.

There are ALOT of great effects when you actually have to think about it. I'm glad tree of life was on there. It's one we rarely see.

We're going to try to do the HS edition 1-2 times a month. Either my channel (ChanManV) or other channels like Firebat. Ill keep everyone posted via Twitter (@StreamShowdown).

What do you mean by lock in?

ChanmanV have contestants buzz in early but don't tell them if they're right or wrong immediately. Keep revealing cards to allow for other contestants to give different answers, revealing at the end which is right and who loses points. Not a big change but prevents situations like the mill rogue guess ruling out any possible chance for firebat before all cards were revealed.

Well I think hi guessing mill rogue and taking that chance was a good result. I made that question to possibly trick a contestant into ringing in early. Now i didn't know it would have such high stakes lol but I think it was more eventful and strategic how it played out. The other method would require everyone to submit answers at different times which is interesting too but I don't think it's necessarily better. It's something we could do for a brand new game segment though.
