I mean he was only a face during the Adam Cole stuff, he's been a heel his whole run in AEW mostly, even when he was face he still insulted the fans jokingly

So the whole thing about mjf loosing his world title to Samoa Joe because of his old best buddy Adam Cole is now pointless. That whole story line written off because Tony Khan can't capitalize on something good. I mean in was so invested in that storyline and now it's all seeming less. Why, why tony, why ?. I mean you could have turned mjf heel any other time after he got his revenge on Adam Cole but doing it now doesn't make any sense and like so many other stories that aew has started gracefully, have ended seemingly or without cause. I just don't get it .
Huh honestly he just works so much better as a heel although that's gonna make the MJF Cole stuff awkward if both are heels. But probably something like he turns heel and then for the Cole feud is the face. That being said feel like for now he's a Tweener just depending on who he feuds with
