Is it odd that my favorite part of this video was seeing the behind the scenes of how the casters pass it to one another cleanly? I found that fascinating, especially during such an intense time of the game and series.
Yeah that was such an eye-opening bit of look under the hood. I was just assuming casting turn was happening organically, never imagined that they manually pass the puck to each other.
Really makes you realize how much gets put into these broadcast, i think more behind the scenes on the production would be cool to see once in a while as special segments.

they all knew what the stakes were and why they had to hurry to kill the nexus. these are pros, ofc they were watching the wave, they just made the decision to try and outpace it and they lost. if apa is hindsighting, then he needs to remember how he was carried to these finals.
it's a small detail but I find it really nice that caedrel was the only one (at least in this video) to move his camera so that we could all see the nexus HP
Isn’t shown here, but he also called the bot wave issue way ahead of time (obviously here too but he did it earlier as well). That’s why i always watch his co streams
this is why like to watch Caedrel. I feel like he has waaay more insight into draft and is able to spot things early Live. Highest quality costreamer for in my opinion.

Its was rough call tho' i mean if Impact was only managing solo Busio could be difference. It was second decision. They assume their decision and it happens sometimes. They needed APA to quickly down tower.
@@owrlowrl Busio used R on their minions, turrets have backdoor protection when minions are out of their range. Ignoring busio is a bad call, they had to kill him as soon as they see him.
@@owrlowrlproblem is you can't ignore him if he pulls the wave. The turrets take way too long without a minion nearby. Busio's Leona ult was unironically good bc it delayed the minions even more lol.
Still remember getting chills from his amazing "The crownless are finally kings" line in 2018. Even being a fan of Fnatic, that line was legendary. My favorite moment of his.
I would be so salty if I was APA, he was observant and asked his team "should somebody answer bot?" Impact or Umti need to base there and at most hold the wave. They win this game and most likely beat a mentally shattered FQ Game 5
@@4thsin098So easy to say things in hindsight. They have Tristana and six grubs so they thought they could just push super fast and end. All these streamers watching also thought what TL did was the correct call in the moment except maybe Caedrel who noticed the wave stacking before the last fight.

Let me tell ya all - Impact was the only one who have TP in that moment. Instead of Umti and CoreJJ going back Impact should be the one who will be going back, clearing the minions and TP back to his teammates. Instead they all 5 march towards and yet failed to stop Busio from clearing the waves.

Please tell me if im wrong, had 1 came back, 1 needed to stay back and TL wouldnt have gotten that far with 4 ppl, due to bwipo's backdoor with a ward in their base (idk if theyd have time to sweep the ward w/ minions attacking the nexus) imo BUSIOOO the SUPPPP goattttt (of this game) did the right thing of getting or stalling the minions. The call mightve been to ignore leo cuz they killed LEO. Leo brought 4-10 sec estimated, to save their nexus. im no pro just saying my thoughts n ideas.
@@omcritzy It's hard to say, the pros think on levels much higher than us, maybe apa was saving his ult to rocket jump into the fountain and cancel the bwipo tp, and yeah even if he ulted leona away it doesn't mean TL win 100% because minions were already on Nexus. Super close either way
It is true everything was happening so fast but I think they either had to send one back and risk not ending or just totally ignore Leona and they did neither.
He was the only one who said to ignore Leona. 4 people turned on leona and used spells on her. If APA and the squad just went all in on the turrets, they would have won. 100%

The one with DL, Pob, and Voyboy is so fun. Watching DL point at the screen as they each take a turn saying “WAIT” before all freaking out at the same time as soon when the game ends.
It took me a minute to realize it but Impact TP'd to the mid wave to try and get the end quicker without thinking about the bot wave. Thats gonna haunt them for a while I hope they can recover from this. Was so close non the less such a crazy ending. Man we need a cam on the Casters going forward they are so cinematic.
Wrong. It will 0 haunt him. His call is good. If he goes bottom... there is no end. Him and Apa are the ones that need to push. Not Umti. Corejj can't do anything to a stacked wave, so he can't back either. The only error Impact did was disregarding Apa worries about bottom wave. Has a veteran he should have supported Apa's call.
Core could back aswell he doesnt need to kill the wave but if he insta recalled way before, hed stop them from getting to nexus at all even if he didnt it was so close, he could just stun the super minions 2 times and itd be enough, tho the perfect dude for the job was umti he was useless at the end there.@@Jhonatt
My god, flowers with the cast... Literal chills man. LCS better hold onto that guy. The calls that guy makes on the fly are the best I've seen in any sport. League of Legends? Captain Flowers is the embodiment of what a legend is. Whatever they pay him, it's not enough.

They definitely gambled on their own wave spawning to delay the supers but it was just seconds off, wanted all 5 on the nexus to end as fast as possible, super close call
30 seconds from the end they misjudged it by 1.5 seconds. 1.5 seconds faster and they would have won. You can say they shouldn’t have gambled, but they weren’t wrong for thinking they could end. Something as small as being more grouped when Leona goes in so they kill her quicker could have changed the outcome.

Shoutout to Flowers for being able to cast while nearly under the desk. Real talk I wish we could see the casters a bit more often during games, not sure how they'd be able to make it work but Flowers is such an animated person same for Kobe, this isn't the first clip i've seen where he's been mostly silent (partly because he has to since he's not the shout caster) but being rather expressive himself. They're all just fun personalities, always love to see em get just as invested, if not more so, than the fans. They clearly have a passion for what they do, the community, and the game as a whole.
@Oleoay for sure, they all seem to have a lot of respect for one another and are good friends. You can see them pointing to cue someone in as well. They know each other well enough to see when their face says, "I wanna say something" or when to throw it to shout because stuff is starting to happen. LCS as a region may be a bit lack luster internationally but the desk/casters, and now with Mark Z as the commissioner, have a natural synergy that just makes em fun to listen to.
Amazing compilation. I loved everyone’s reactions. My favorites were the casters and Dom. Big shame that we didn’t get silver scrapes. I’m hyped to see these teams at worlds and hope next year we can continue to have great production despite the changes to the americas.
Awesome video, seeing all the costreamer reactions + behind the scenes + team comms that haven't yet been released, no distracting editing getting in the way. LCS had an amazing summer, couldn't have asked for a better send off.

@@RomnysGonzalez APA also massively misplays. He can just ult Leona away and ignore her. Also he runs around on the spot doing nothing. Same as Yeon. They don't necessarily need the minions to push. But if Leona is ulted away by Trist, there is no need to think about it aswell.

tbf leona stalled by dragging the minions so idk if they could just outright ignore her.. core had to hit his stun and knockup on her initially then they would maybe have time. still would have been crazy close though
The call for recall certainly were the right call, but if Liquid ignored Leona she holds the wave and Liquid players not does damage to the nexus towers.
Ignoring leona was such a bad call too. Could have been the difference maker they were able to cc leona right before she pulled and ulted the minions. Esp with trist ult being up 😰. Btw there is backdoor protection, so you NEED minions to actually do dmg otherwise it would have taken even longer to destroy a turret.
I don't know who the shotcaller is but there are at least 1 or 2 players that keep up with the timing of everything, which are probably the Koreans. I think they got the right time for the bot inhib but not the time difference between the mid. There's at least 25 seconds difference so I believe they heavily miscalculated on that part. APA is wrong to ignore Leona, as you can see that she pulled the minion away from the tower for 6 seconds. He could've pushed her away with ult to prevent that.
They are forced to kill Leona; it's crazy how many people have no game knowledge. She ran to them and took their minion wave, ignoring her means that they can't end the game. The only bad call within that timeframe was not answering bot. Impact could have based to answer the incoming wave and used his TP to reunite with his team.
LPL's BLG the only team that won the whole playoffs from the winner's bracket. LCK's HLE LEC's G2 LCS's FLY All came from loser's bracket With FLY and HLE the surprised winners from their region.
the fact that someone on TL was making the right calls about someone going bot and to ignore leona and they just ignored those calls makes their loss so much worse

It was nice to see Azael managing Kobe and Flowers at the end. Casters have their own ways of requesting or letting others speak, and I imagine that's much harder to do in a tri-cast. I wonder if it happens naturally or if someone gets assigned to that role before the cast.

umpti calls it at the end its tough cuz they coulda spun for garen to end. Absolutely insane TL almost pulled an end from such a bad spot, hopefully they dont get tilted losing that way and instead look at how the game got that dire as the focus of the review. Well played for TL, well played to busio spinning long enough he deserves more credit for how much time he spun keeping the wave that far away
After seeing this so many times, Busio's defense against the TL 5 march was insane because of how many TL members turned their attention to him vs the turrets/nexus.
APA did call minions but could have gone bot instead of running to the team fight that was already over. Also Impact shouldnt have wasted tp mid. Would have been a game saver.
Not sure what UmTi said at the end there, but it seemed like, for the most part, the players on both teams didnt realize how big of an issue the minions were. Also, love the video of the cast reaction. I'd love to see more of that.
The inhibitors were legit like 1 second from spawning as the minions passed it lol as well as the following wave Anyone coulda backed, held the wave for one second of aggro and won the game, in hindsight lol
