Great skill, but is he supposed to be mickey mouse? Never understood why they used, I presume castrato back then, in baroque opera! I always find it immersion breaking. Especially when they are supposed to be a knight like in Handel's "Rinaldo".

Baroque stylistic conventions ranked the highest voices the most significant. So the principal male character would always be sung by the highest voice, which today is the countertenor.
