Khasi people looks more southeast asian , And that uncle is from Assam and Bodo and bodos people's who are not mixed looks east asian because bodos lived near bhutan and close to tibet . And yes Arunachal people from tawang and west kameng district majority people's look like tibetan they have same culture tooo. Monpa is major tribe here

The guy you met at the breakfast place said he’s Boro from Assam. Boros are also Tibeto-Burman tribal ethnic group, they are related to the Garos.

Khasi people are related to The Wa people 佤族; in Yunnan and their language are also similar, they belong to the Austroasiatic language group which also includes the Vietnamese. They were the first to arrive in northeast India from southern China. In ancient China they were known as the Baiyue 百越. In fact many ethnic groups in southern China like in Yunnan, Guangdong etc . were originally Austroasiatic but became assimilated by Han Chinese.

Northeast people have different facial and racial features from the rest of India. Their food is different and so is their religion. I'm not sure about saying there are no good people in other parts of the country but the people here in this region are very friendly, kind and hospitable. Most importantly because of their Christian religion. You will always feel safe simply walking among them

Theres some similar words between chinese and khasi language tea=sha(in khasi as well as in mandarin),two= ar( in khasi as well as in Mandarin)..maybe there are more but these are something that i learnt personally.

And yes we Khasis look more south east asian than Chinese but in India they club south east asians & chinese as one, mongoloids. Our language belongs to the Austro-asiatic group of languages spoken in south east asia like Khmer, Khmuic, Palaung-wa etc

@@Erdovanne there is no such thing....all are myth... unfortunately there is no concrete evidence to support any either ....but people in Laos speak a very similar accent to us and lot of words and meanings of them are same

We aren't even mongols the Chinese and other tribes of northeast are. We are originally from here we are our own race just like the native Americans.

@@Erdovanne I told you that there is no evidence to support any theory but keep in mind coming from heaven via lumsohpetbneng is a myth ....and our language is similar to mon-khmer ...I use to live in Vientiane and visit lot of places in Laos and neighbouring countries like Vietnam and Cambodia and there is similar words and meanings of our language and their language

Thats theoritically just an assupmtion as far as your view is concern Khasi doesnt have any relation with the East Asian （Chinese,Korean,Japanese）excluding those of mixed marriage with any mongoloid but more like south east asian thai combodia except Arunchal,mizo,manipuri and Naga

As per legends Nagas came from a part of China. They were a tribe who fought the Chinese Emperor but were defeated & subjugated to build a part of the Great Wall of China. They somehow managed to escape & ended up in Nagaland & parts of Manipur
