90s anime didn't have the best soundtracks, it was either glitzy jpop/over the top bubbly sounding or very flat tones that don't fit the theme of what's going on, on screen. This ofc has been corrected in the early 2ks where Japanese composers have learnt to put more feeling into their soundtracks and are WAY better now than they were back then. But yeah, the US soundtrack was far superior in this movie than the Japanese one, as for the voice acting...too each their own. The weebs are going to say Japanese (for obv nerdy unintelligent reasons/flexing their made up degrees in Japanese studies) but I like to watch my anime not read it, that's what manga's are for. If the English dubs are THAT bad, I switch over and read my anime instead doesn't bother me either way.
I know this comment was posted 10 years ago but a similar sounding song is in SF Alpha 3; “Brave or Grave” or the final M. Bison Theme; it sounds pretty dang close. When I was listening to the SF Alpha 3 soundtrack again, not that long ago, I thought it sounded very familiar. I gave it some thought and I realized that this song, from the movie’s score, might’ve been inspired by that track from the game. Addendum (Jan. 24, 2024 9:50pm): Or the other way around since the US release of the SF2 animated movie was in ‘96 and Alpha 3 released in ‘98; my mistake.
@sfex4290 there's a difference between confident and cocky and Bruce WAS confident! VERY!!! As a fighter if you're not confident in your abilities...then what IS the point... I don't feel Fei was made out to be cocky just confident but still on the same flip side of the coin if you're over confident you can be seen as arrogant and naive, that delicate balance must be found between confidence honour and being humble..❤
When the music comes in at 0.59, thats enough to make you wanna watch it even if you haven't seen it :P I remember when this came out! Awesome film. It's all about E-Honda, Ryu and Chun Li in this movie.
@laphin I used to have a SNES back when i was only 4, and all i ever played on it was either Street Fighter II Turbo or Mario games, so when i saw the film in the shop i enjoyed the nostalgia =) I agree with you about the 90s anime, now with the economic climate the world is in, people just don't have the money to spend good time writing good manga, except for the odd few... =/
I don't suppose you have the song where Bison fights with Ken and Ryu, do you? Can't seem to find it anywhere. I thought this was it, but this one sounds a bit different. Btw, this song rocks. :D
John D'andrea and Cory Lerios. They have a huge list of movie and tv show credits. Including BAYWATCH TV series franchise. and horror movie Child's Play 3. LOL!
What would make me happier? Well, I know it's very late, but maybe you should try ripping the music from the final battle between Ryu, Ken and Bison (the battle in the Thai Mountain Range).
@Lagunazan Wow you are only 18? I'm surprised you still wanted to watch this back in 2006 (the movie). It was kinda faded out by then from the 90s. Cool to see younger Street Fighter fans. I'm 28. Still my favorite anime movie after all this time since it first released. I really miss the late 80s and 90s. :( No good stuff anymore. The anime of the 90s is something that will never be forgotten.
I remember this tune in the Ryu vs Fei-Long scene. But it also played towards the end during the confrontation with Bison and his goons, and where Ryu faces the brainwashed Ken. Though that part leaves out the epic guitar riffs.
@maskedman98 That's actually the fault of your internet connection, I'm afraid. ^^; The actual video itself is designed to immediately provide the music. But if your connection is faulty, then the video will take an unfavorably long time to load.
