3s introduced alot of elements to current street fighters...It goes to show how waaaay ahead of its time that game was Remarkable engineering to say the least
parry should be given to all grapple players to help them close in...and it encourages a higher lvl of all around play...sf3 is just so much more interesting to watch
Gief has basically the best Parry in the game in the form of his V-skill, and Laura and Mika don't really need it. Laura has her fireball mix-ups and mika is just nuts. It's a shame Alex can only parry in V-trigger, but his is really strong and serves as a combo extender as well, so it works out. I play Alex and dang, I have to try and work some of these mid-block-string parries they're doing into my game, so sick! I agree that SF3 is more interesting to watch, but I understand why parries are absent for the most part. This and 3S are very different games, which is probably why I still play 3S almost as much as I play V.
all the characters are unfair cos they can all do something the others can't. parry is only good if you've mastered it. until then, 90% of players will claim that character sucks.
Parries do NOT belong in Street Fighter games. They suck and they are annoying. Street Fighter is supposed to be all about light/medium/heavy punches, light/medium/heavy kicks, throws, knockouts, supers, ultras, time-ups, focus attacks and so on.
