Such a pleasure to watch those two guys. No pressure, calm faces, always respecting and congratulating each other after a fight. That's the way to compete!
Really think infiltration and tokido are both dope players but it was awesome seeing tokido finally get one from infiltration and in the most clutch ways
+Krizalid99 I wouldn't say let him win. I think infiltration gave up on that last round though. I think he just wasn't able to figure out Tokido and gave up the perfect at the end.
I'm a Smash player, I never got into more standard fighting games. Even so, watching this top 8, and Tokido's loser's bracket all the way to this huge reset victory was extremely exciting! The clutch parries, the comeback rounds, the ending with a fucking PERFECT. What a beautiful game to watch sometimes.
@goggles789 original comment from an original name. 😎👉👉 ... Also for any other Smash fans: Nintendo sucks, play Rivals, Tekken or Guilty Gear. Hell, play Soul Calibur if you wanna knock people off stage so much
12:03 - 12:05 I love how both commentators are literally speechless there and all you can hear afterwards is one of them letting the air out in disbelief. Crazy finals.
People saying that Infiltration handed him the match need to stop. It's obvious Tokido stepped up his game since their last encounter, and that very last round proved it. Infil had already lost before it started, and Tokido just walked up and took it away from him without giving him an inch.
Tokido coming beating and coming back from Diago. Beating Haitani and finally getting that win in convincing fashion nobody deserved this win more than Tokido. His reactions and parries were the highlight of the night! Way to go Murdaface!
It's not free, you try playing ryu and parrying on reaction, there is a small time where you are vulnerable as the animation starts up...It's pretty hard, actually
This is probably the 8th time I watch this video and I am convinced, this is the most amazing win I've seen so far! TokiGOD had to first, he beat DAIGO, then MOMOCHI!! Gets to the finals on the losers bracket. Starts with sick moves, then resets the bracket, gets a PERFECT in the last round, against INFILTRATION!!!
I DID say it was only a matter of time. you all knew Tokido was slowly catching up and he was slowly but surely downloading infiltration from every match in the past.
Dude, Tokido played some serious SF there! Sick Ryu, deserved victory. He was on fire! Infiltration is such a nice fella and great Nash player, in a way it was sad to see him lose.
I successfully did a CA parry against an online Nash twice yesterday lol you can learn so much from watching pros play. Before that I never even thought that was possible. Now I'm thinking about the possibility of parrying wake-up CAs from Kens and even Ryus lol.
Agreed. I was rooting for Infiltration, but it's awesome that Tokido won. I'm hype for the salty runback between these two! Great matches. Congratulations, Tokido! :)
One of the best grand finals ever. Congratulations for Tokido, showing us that the power isn't inside the character but the player behind it. Long life to the FGC ;)
That was the case in USFIV. They fixed that in SFV, there are no more fps drops on other stages. But still, The Grid is definitely the most competitive stage due to it's straight design.
its a shame because people who dont know much about street fighter wont really understand the depth of the game play, all they can see is an ugly non attractive stage. The only thing that might interest them are sick/flashy combos or plays being hyped by the crowd and commentators. If it were on a nicer stage its just more appealing to the eye in general and may also spark some interest in an unfamiliar watcher. You see a hot girl and instantly you're attracted right? Then you see a not so hot girl and just look the other way and move on with your day. Kinda the same thing... kinda idk if i got my point across or not but whatever lol
Am I the only one who found it hilarious when at the end of the last round the way the commentator yells out of nowhere "MAYBE IT CAN KILL??!" Just me then
Nash's overhead MP actually has a 22 frame start-up, even though it looks _way_ faster than Guile's (21 frames). I think Nash's hopping animation makes it harder to react to.
I'll burn when I see the crazy crowd like this. Tokido was at least prepared for that match, shook Infiltration visibly. He showed Daigo how to play with Ryu and gave us the best 2016 final of the SFV with a perfect finish. Tokido, Our beloved Gouki awaits you in 2017!
+Rosanne “D4rkWolf/D4rkRose” Faerwing players could use the lines on the wall and floor as I guess where to space and throw out buttons and use that to their advantage, not that I'm saying they're doing that but ya know
Why not make it so that there is an edited version of the stage for the torn. version where the lines are gone and its just a box room, it would stop any advantages to players and would mean there is more focus on the characters. It honestly wouldn't be that hard to make a tournament version via a modification, of course make it specific to only be that one modification, it doesn't change the game, make it unfair to the players, it just makes it so that its a clear fighting ground.
but both players have visual access to it, its not like there are blind players out there that have disadvantage if training stage is used. Simply put the stage is boring, I don't mind it when it comes to great play like this sense I don't break concentration during the neutral game. On top of that I think the players them self's are trying to reduce distractions
The use of the lines is super popular among Japanese players cause they play way more technical than US or EU, but they use it to measure their pokes when they practice so they know the range in all stages.
How to can I stop someone or the opponet cheating by making a pop-up on my TV screen such as "Broadcating your video" or "Return to RU-vid" while I'm fighting with my oppenent on PS4? This blocks my view in a fight. It's a way of cheating by my opponet with Street Fight V of Sony PS4 every time I'm in a fight online. It never happens like this I play in the SURVIVAL up to 30 rounds. It bothers me so much.
zhicheng yang LOL fucking no, watch Alex Valle Vs Daigo at SoCal Regionals 2011, or Daigo vs Momochi Stunfest 2015 This match, like the rest of SFV has shitty footsies and dumbed down gameplay
6 game sets in a row, so lovely. These two impressive monsters... at this rate they probably gonna end up in grand finals at EVO. I really love the matches between them but, I love surprises too. Hope we can see some other players in Top 8. I was wondering, who is the girl with the cosplay? it's not the first time I see her in this events...
What are you talking about? SFV was a pile of crap when it came out, 16 characters were a joke and core mechanics were broken. Right now, the game is just getting better and better.
@@JoNassRasierer I don't like the core mechanics and that's my personal preference, but the competitive scene quickly became more and more of a shitfest after season 2. Right now every tournament top 16 is 80% just Rashid and Karin, before that it was just Abigail and Guile, they keep adding characters but nobody uses them in tournament. Back when the game came out the roster was limited and the game wasn't even finished, but the competitive scene was way more exciting, but maybe it's because people still had to figure out how broken the game really was.
@@MessatsuGoshoryu02 I think it's more the patches fucked SFV for the worse. DP nerfs. Nash nerf. Ryu Chun nerf. Mika nerf. Addition of unga bunga Guile, Balrog, Ibuki with their BS V-Trigger comebacks and dash in crush counter combos the original cast didn't have. All sorts of things.
