Man, seeing all these taunts takes me back to sf4, when each character had so many different and outlandish taunts that expressed their personalities perfectly, and they had up to 10 each as well which was amazing
I believe a modern SF that is seriously concerned about pushing the game forward should combine SF3 and SF4: you have a set of different taunts and they have different special effects. So you pick according to your fighting style tastes. Sadly the functional taunts never came back. Not even to this SF3 sequel.
As cool as it was, making 10 taunts for each character is just not worth the effort. In most cases, people won't even use the taunts or see it till the end.
@@theoneandonlyCQ you can adjust which one you want in the character select screen, in the same section where you choose your color and costumes lmao. Funny enough, the number of taunts actually get different animations depending on which version as well
@@nem3732 idk about that. I mean, Akuma had 2 useful ones. One where he does the stomp, and can be cancelled easily onto a super, and another where he slams his fist into the ground, which his people, which was brought over to sfv. Not all of them were useless lmao, only most of them
Jamie's taunts are clear highlights, but there's a lot of effort put into everyone here. Guile's taunts were particularly surprising, and I see what they did with that fast crouching taunt.
Kimberly keeping the ninja tradition in tact with the self defense prayer. In most Japanese fighting games, the Ninja archetype does this. I think my favourite is Kuni II's, because of how fast she does it.
I really cant wait to get my hand on Story Mode to know what happened between his cheerful self and this ... I mean given his techniques style working and all hes still ken hes still cocky just not as cheerful cocky as before

@@WTFHAX93 afaik in Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven, whenever Rikimaru & Ayame have done 9 stealth kills in one stage, they will perform this to unlock a new ability.
1:03 This may not mean anything, but Sakura does a lot of these to focus or wake her up when she's stunned, so seeing this and especially seeing Ryu doing makes me really Happy.

2:23 - Chun literally does Neo/Morpheus's "Bring it" motion from The Matrix! (I'm talking about the arm motions in the first part, too). She even has the same smug look on her face at the end of it that Neo had when sparring with Morpheus in the Construct.
Such personalities & expressions in each taunt and I love it, from Luke's hAdOuKeN to Jaime's drunken stupor taunt and well...😏'cough' Juri's enticing taunt 1:16 NICE
What would be cool is if Luke's fake hadoken taunt, like reloads in Battlefield, had a super-low percentage chance to have him accidentally fire off a tiny harmless fireball that fizzles out after eight inches. His Sand Blast is basically the same principle anyway (projecting energy forwards by hand movement; only it's the air wake from his punch rather than ki-like energy) so... why not? :D
@@OriginAtrocity Oh yeah that makes sense kinda like poor mans Dan Gadouken, oh also it should have a hit box so when Luke does that taunt on that opponent on little health it would kill leaving the player tilted lamo.
These taunts are 'S' Tier... I absolutely love them. Especially Luke's, Jamie's and Guiles. There a few guys I will be playing SF6 with and I can tell you this... taunts will be coming out non stop for the first two weeks of this games release.

Is it just me or they removed his red arm bulging veins when he flex taunt and victory pose, or even worse: removed the veins textures on his arms? I'm no longer see them in newest build 😭
