I am sure if he wasn't so sick during he would have shown a far better fight. Even back when I first saw this I thought Guile beat his ass hard. Now that I know the actor was terminal it makes more sense why he didn't put up much of a fight.
Yeah he was a very admirable man, also to think he did this last performance for his kids who loved bison and wanted to live on for them in that character in the games
@@andchi2000 Doesn't matter the order: talent is talent. For example, even though Jim Carey would've been an absolutely smashing Joker. He still crushed The Riddler with finesse xD I know both movies aren't "great" but, I loved them regardless as a child... Same with this movie. Some people just have IT
I loved watching this battle not because of the actual fight, but because of Raul Julia's M Bison. It's a hypnotizing, over-the-top kind of acting that is just so deliscious to watch. The only one that can probably top him is Frank Langella's Skeletor.
Loving. The Frank Langella ( Skeletor) fight doesn't scratch the surface with Raul Julia's ( M. Bison) role vs. Van Damme's Guile role. Raul Julia won a Saturn award for his outstanding performance as M. Bison. Masters Of The Universe was too stupid compared to the video game blockbuster " Street Fighter: The Movie".
@@lovipoekimo176Please don't compare " He- Man The Masters Of The Universe" to " Street Fighter". Skeletor is nowhere as intimidating and menacing as superhuman power- hungry dictator M. Bison. M. Bison makes Skeletor look like a child's play villain.
They were going to do a " Street Fighter II" film in 2003 with Jean- Claude Van Damme, Dolph Lundgren, and Holly Valance but it was canceled. Actress Holly Valance was originally, going to play Kylie Minogue's famous role of Cammy White in Street Fighter II but the film was canceled. Holly Valance later was casted as Christie Allen in the live- action " DOA" film in 2005 or 2006.
lol at vandamme wanting to finish Bison off with his own trademark kick instead of using the Guiles Flash Kick as the finisher. Which would of made waaay more sense.
Yeah ... no. That's not happening, sorry Guile but with all your brawn, this is one fight you aren't ever winning. Akuma, Ryu and possibly Ken have been the only ones ever capable of defeating Bison, because of their training in the ways of Hadou which counters Bison's Psycho Power.
Idc what people say this movie is still awesome, sure it's not as awesome like it was 23 years ago but hey it was the 90s and they used what they had to make the fights look awesome and they succeeded. Today people who say these fights suck are either too young to truly appreciate how goodIt was back then or old fools who compare back then to today and call it crap, if that's the case you're a fool
@@ladyfire44 Julia is the only actor in this film who gave an Oscar worthy performance. If there were a sequel, Jeff Goldblum would take his role. But I'm gonna be real here, he's not buff, agile, and big-chinned like M. Bison.
No, Raul Julia was a badass in this one. In this movie, he has no powers, just the boundless charisma and delicious insanity: "Ever Bison Dollar will be worth FIVE British Pounds!". But yeah, everything else in this movie was way subpar.
Not to mention Julia was in really bad shape when they filmed this movie. I have a hard time thinking of who would have played Bison better at the time this movie was made.
no kidding ,this shit is one of the causes of fuckin cancer I mean the game is centered around Ryu and Ken but they gave guile and Chun li the movies!? for FUCKIN what? both street fighter movies should be used as toilet paper
The way I see Raul's Julia's Bison. This is pre psycho power M. Bison before his powers consumed his mind and made him pure evil. Before the psycho power he was charismatic leader insane dictator. Everything you see in the movie is what bison was before the psycho power. The end of the movie when bison hand comes up from the rubble is when he discovers his inner psycho power and after that the Bison we see hear is nothing but a memory. He's now the embodiment of pure evil.
