Early CPS3 like New Generation already had a sort of CPS2 vibe to it. Wasn't until 2nd Impact that it became more signature.

I think it's more down to the composer, Hideki had alot more involvement from the 2nd game onwards. I think Yuki Iwai was the reason it had the classic cps2 sound in alot of songs

ah, the most powerful Yang has ever been because he's just got Genei-Jin. Also, gotta love the TAS strat of timing out Ressurection via maintaining an infinite. This is a good cover too,a lthough I'm partial to Nile (D&B) myself.

CPS 2 sound chip sounds alot clearer and less muffled to me than the cps3. And they actually had the same amount of channels (16) I believe

This version is very clean in comparison with the CPS-3 counterpart, now a CPS-2 version of Nile [ drum & bass remix ] would be awesome Btw, i never understand what that stage is? it's a volcano or something? and what that "w" means in the Street Fighter 3: Double Impact for Dreamcast means? isn't sould be "d" for Double Impact?

For some reason, in Japanese media, the letter W has come to stand for "double." I have absolutely no idea why other than the fact that the word and the letter sound similar. Putting it simply, it's a Japan thing. :)

The stage is the Mediterranean Sea, the red color is due to a solar eclipse about to happen or some crazy stuff like that.
