"Street Fighter" Tour - 1973 VW Bus with Subaru Drivetrain 

Looks nice. Those dynomax mufflers don't usually hold up too well, but time will tell. I prefer the Magnaflow or Vibrant mufflers because they're some of the cheapest best sounding and more durable. The intake setup looks much better on this one. Seats look like Recaro's from a Corrado or mk3 glx? Way better solution than the stock ones. Although its more work, the Subie 5 speed is a huge upgrade over the stock 4 speed. That ecu install looks super clean. Great work.

my subiewagon conversion with that engine did 100 mph right from the start---scarey ride.

I see that you cut on the side for airflow to the radiators. Was the initial setup with air suction through the original vents not sufficient for cooling?

Tidy job. You said you have the heater under the skid plate. Is that the blower and matrix. I like what you have done previously with the blower behind the glove box but I would like something lower down to reduce noise from the blower

Oh, you have two radiators, do they meet at a "T" junction before the thermostat or I'm thinking it's one then the other (I see a pipe just below the hinge)?

Why do we let our tires get so bald? I am guilty of this as well I'm not judging this is purely a inquisitive question. My toe in toe out was pigeon-toed I cupped my tires bad, got new tires two weeks before getting my front end alignment straightened out and now I'm fully aligned with cupped front tires that are brand new lmao. Needless to say I have to get new tires again so I understand. I'm just curious why do we do this? I have a lot of new parts underneath my truck as well. Why do we put so much time and effort into the parts and the labor and the time only to fail with the part that actually puts the machine to the ground, the rubber?!. Great video and very beautiful bus I found this because I thought putting a Subaru engine in a VW bus would be an absolutely amazing idea and sir you have executed it perfectly it looks Factory

I think in Europe it is unimaginable to do this! We like to keep everything as original as possible and are keen to have a classic car with all its comforts and dis comforts. .
