He's saying you have to do the EX shoryuken for those having trouble dashing. You can't cancel the normal shoryuken with a dash. Has to be EX (as in you press the light punch and medium punch together)

@sngoku ofcourse he understood that this video is for beginners of the game and its quite actually difficult at first to do fadc ultra he meant to say that as to not to discourage players who want to learn ryu in sf4 he said that to actually inspire others to learn it like me any combo link to ultra or combo link to shoryu fadc ultra is so easy for me now because i overcame the difficult part.. the learning part.

By dash towards, he means focus cancel.

@ikuzeexodia yeh it is. I can do it 100 times in a row. Once you learn the buffer timing its easy mode. If you buffer it too slowly you will just do an empty focus attack. It works with other characters too. Gouken, Dudley, Cody, Viper, Ken, Abel. I use this over dashing then doing the ultra motion so I dont end up doing a shoryuken in the heat of the moment when I was mean to do an ultra :P

he needs to teach us how to time those freakin links!

there is an easier way to do fadc ultra with ryu. when you do the srk, hold the FA buttons then buffer qcf, qcf. If done right he should dash out the FA then press all 3 punches and he should ultra.

i can do many combos on my pad but i am getting a stick for more precise commands. :)

@sngoku I find Bison, Balrog, C.viper, rufus and Zangiefs combos much harder then Ryu's BEST combo's. you can do his main combo's with ease but his most effective combo's are very difficult.

not to diss daigo or anything he's a great player and all, but talk about a career that you can age gracefully with... imagine he's 40 y'o with wrinkles all over his face is he still gonna tour around as the 'No.1 video game player'? if i was his father i dont think id be too happy about that...
