@@michalsimek6440 I always took a back seat to street fighter until street fighter 5 came out I played like sf2 in the arcade in like 2015 and I enjoyed it but this was when I really enjoyed it and always wondered if a tekken x street fighter game could happen but from what my friends were saying it didn’t do as well as everyone hoped but damn this trailer is dope
"We are still hopeful that TKxSF will resume development when the opportunity arises, however, such a title cannot be moved just for the convenience of one company in terms of marketing and branding, and it also affects each other’s development resources. For now, we are just waiting for the right opportunity,” says Harada posted on June 21, 2021.
@@kemalerdemsahin410 It's true that the meters and aerials feel very out of place in Tekken 7. However, Harada has described the game as a cluster of experiments and they absolutely used it to test what can and won't work for a TxSF game whenever it does come out. For example, Tekken characters having very good one-time only moves like with Leroy or vastly different character-specific properties of a mechanic like Paul's cancellable Rage Art and Lei's multiple Rage Drives can create an even playing field with 2D mechanics. I'm still very hopeful because it will be Namco at the helm whom have a better track record with fighting games compared to Capcom.
Over 4 million views. People keep coming back to this trailer for a good reason. On it's own, without a lotta context, everything stands on some very strong feet. The music, the animation, the art style, all the emotions OOZING from this story's mood, it all works so damn well together and feels like an incredible love letter to both these franchises
okay so there were two games promised: street fighter X tekken and tekken X street fighter the first would feature tekken characters in a street fighter game and the second would feature street fighter characters in a tekken game (reread that if you think I repeated myself). This game gave EXACTLY WHAT IT PROMISED, these cinematics are all in the same style as Street Fighter IV cinematics and this game is exactly like Street Fighter IV... WITH TEKKEN CHARACTERS. What were you expecting for this game to disappoint you???
1:55 -> I love that little smile of Ken when he senses Ryu behind him about to rejoin the fight. Even before the whole Dark Hadou episode, Ryu always had a rather aloof personality, to the point where it was sometimes difficult to know if he considered Ken as as much of a friend as Ken obviously considered him. These little moments when they team up so organically give me hope.
In Street Fighter 6 Ryu describes Ken as someone "very precious" to him. Between that and this, I think it's safe to say they got a strong brotherly bond (:
I always come back to these trailers just for nostalgia. Growing up in the '90s we had no idea SF and Tekken would ever unite. The competition between fighting game development is what inspired and created the M.U.G.E.N community. And Mortal Kombat.
Kazuya one shot, how?? in sfxt even balrog said to Nina how are you surviving this long, and balrog kill a elephant with one hit, Nina fought heihachi for 2 rounds while heihachi told cammy wow one hit your done that a mismatch
Kazuya I know that, I'm just saying, nina maybe look good to other fans but at the same time is a deceiver under those looks her an Anna at that is what I'm saying lasting a shoot out for 24/7 without tired is in insane
I'm still watching this in 2024. It's an amazing satisfying trailer. Nina is incredible and amazing! Love her! 🫶 and Kazuya is badass in here. Team tekken here by the way.
One of the strongest trailers of all time in my opinion. If Playstation All-Stars advertised like this instead of making it look like another stupid console commercial I think it would have lasted longer.
@@bfonsecat I did not play it yet, why it is not a very good game? I think Street Fighter 3 is the best fighting game ever and i dont think SF vs Tekken can compare to SF3 so Is SF vs Tekken better or worse than Street Fighter 4?
@@Ferghyzzitha The game is worth it honestly, people are just saying it's bad because others are as well. In my opinion, the game aged quite well to this day...
The more I watch this trailer, it's clear that the maker of it wanted to biasedly make it seem like Street fighter characters can't beat Tekken characters
It was made by capcom. Aka the people who made street fighter. Unless you’re trying to say Capcom thinks Tekken is better than their game. And what about the trailer with Bison and Juri dumpstering Jin? Is it only bias when it’s not in your favor?
I'm not a huge Street Fighter fan, but I love Marvel Vs. Capcom and love Street Fighter in a competitive sense, and I only got into Tekken with Tekken 7, but I can't even imagine how fucking hype this trailer would've been if you were a fan of both. Also the music is Honest Eyes by Black Tide and its fucking amazing
The detail I love most about this trailer, is that it keeps all characters at the 'powerlevel' of *their own* universe. Ryu is in-training, but still vastly more powerful than a regular human. Kazuya is, relatively to humans in Tekken, *much* stronger. Ie. Ryu is a 7/10 if 5 is human peak performance. Kazuya would be like 9/10 at least. They both have transformations that make them much more powerful, but nothing closes the gap - Evil Ryu vs Devil Kazuya isn't even close. Akuma vs Kazuya is more interesting, but in Akuma' favor. Akuma, by definition, is what happens if an extremely talented warrior completely dedicates themselves to how to kill effectively - to the extend of throwing their humanity away. Akuma is the form where he's yet fully 'complete' but still able to split islands with his fists. Oni is the stage where he is fully complete - he's the most powerful fighter that will ever exist in the Street Fighter world, unless the series goes beyond *Street* fighting. Oni would obliterate anyone from the Tekken universe, if the comparison assumes characters are as powerful as they are in their own universe. The only character Capcom has ever let Akuma have a challenge against another fighter, is a alternative-universe variant where Akuma, at his peak, fights Asua - who in-story is basically the god of wrath - and they draw. That's the level of insane power Akuma is at - he's a serious, anti-hero version of Saitama (One Punch Man).
@@teamstarbreaker9929 They obliterate anyone but Akuma. Especially Shin-Akuma and Oni. Consider that Devil Kazuya couldn't even defeat Heihachi. The biggest difference is their philosophy: Kazuya/Jin are fighters with overwhelming power. Akuma is super powerful assassin, as in island-level strong in his 'base form'. Now imagine Oni, who is exponentially more powerful. I don't see a single argument that can be made in favor of the Devils. Normal Akuma vs Devil Kazuya/Jin is honestly debatable - I'd argue the devils win, but there are plenty of circumstances and situations where Akuma would definitely win.
@@nivyan I respectfully disagree with you. You may be right about kazuya losing to akuma but Jin is a very powerful devil and human. Jin defeated ogre and Azazel. Which are on same level of akuma. True devil Jin can defeat akuma
@@teamstarbreaker9929 Sure, but Paul also defeated (regular) Ogre. And he's not even in the conversation. In my opinion, the main issue stems from the fact we haven't seen Tekken characters perform feats that equal what Akuma has done. And even that is kind of beside the point - Akuma' ability to *kill* is far beyond any regular fighter. He'd, by definition, be able to defeat much stronger opponents because of his fighting style. IIRC, all Mishima' styles are closely based off Karate. Even if they were stronger, it doesn't matter when a single punch is aimed at a vital and is lethal. Jin vs Ogre & Azazel is a *fight* - there's no room to *fight* Akuma, he'll kill before it gets to that. And again, consider Capcom used Akuma, as Oni, as a rival to Asura, a *god* of wrath, and it still ended in a draw. All of that being said, Tekken & Street Fighter are different universes, and it's unknown how they'd interact properly. Akuma in Tekken 7 is, like in Street Fighter, a toned-down version to have him be an actual fighter. Similarily, Jin & Kazuya can't just turn (True) Devil and win every fight. How all of them would interact in "actual lore" is more up to interpretation than anything else. It's a fun discussion to have though.
@@nivyan true. Mind me I am just a salty Jin fan who was trying to convince you that Jin can defeat akuma. Anyways do you have discord. We can chat about this topic there if you want to?
People give this game a little too much undeserved hate, the trailer definitely made the game look better than it was, but that does not make the game bad by any means.
