Street Food in Krakow, Poland. Huge Sausages, Pork Knuckles, Steaks, Skewers and more 

I worked at Kowalski sausage company in Hamtramck Michigan in my youth and when the hams and sausages came out of the smokers you could not help but get hungry. Most of the people who worked there were from Poland or from Polish families that lived here already. Great food and great people.

Best city I've ever visited in Europe was Krakow. It just felt right.

I have been to Krakow!!!!!! An absolutely great town for foodies and not just traditional Polish food!!!! It’s awesome. The people are wonderful. Go if you can.

I remember going too a wedding in south Poland a few years back and the food was off the charts. It was one beautiful dish after another, I’ve never eaten so much food at a wedding before. The meat and pork dishes were beautiful😋

I live in Japan and have visited Gliwise, Poland five times in the last ten years. I've been to Krakow four times and this kind of market is very memorable. I remember the smell of roasting meat and sausage smokers just by passing by. There were many kinds of dishes, but I regret that I could not try them all. It was impressive that the Polish people were very kind to the Japanese, perhaps because of the Polish orphan episode 100 years ago. During my stay in Poland, I always wore the cross flag badge of the Polish flag and the Japanese flag. I always want to visit Poland again and again.

My wife and I visited there last year for the Christmas market and it was amazing! Food galore.,. Mulled wine... Lots of great shops and gifts! Would love to go again...

That was one very nice street food fair in Krakow! A lot of different sausages, kebabs, roast pork, stewed meat stews with onions & a lot more! As a bonus, there are so many lovely delicious ladies enjoying the food!

The Poles and the Brits have a special relationship....we are quite similar I think. The Poles have a good reputation here in the UK, a reputation for hard work, family, decent values. In WW2 the Poles and the Brits showed their courage against an aggressor. That fight bonded our two nations. And here we are...the UK is trying to do its very best for Ukraine, and who is there standing shoulder to shoulder with Ukraine? The Polish people. Their strength and generosity are a guiding light for other countries to follow. So....here is a Brit...giving a nod to Poland for having the balls to stand up to a more powerful foe....and for having a huge sausage..

Great food and great people.

If I was there I'd think I had died and gone to heaven. Even those open face sandwiches look good. We try to recreate the foods of our European himelands here in the US and we often do a pretty good job. Plus we invented new foods and hybrids fron different sources. In this case I'm sure there is no topping the real thing. My only question is how most Polish women manage to stay so slim and beautiful most of their lives?

Nobody has a tattoo. Very rare nowdays in Europe. Do they ever sell even half of that all? They propably do, because they have to make profit. My ancestors from my mother's side came from Katowice to Finland long time ago. I visited Krakow during the nineties, it was cheap country back then. Travelled by bus and train from Helsinki. Poland is a great country. It is different than Finland, but not too different.
