NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED An amazing street guitarist (name: Marcello Calabrese) plays an amazing song. (Piazza Navona, Rome) P.s. i really like the way he plays the solo! Enjoy!
@C.I.A • Central Intelligence Agency yeah heard they are born with a cigarette in their mouth. Either that or the doc just gives everyone in the room a celebratory ciggie after a succesfull delivery. Including the baby.
@@cruz8343 I always wondered why songs like this and sweet child o mine are songs you shouldn't play at a guitar store. I mean, they take some skill. For Stairway you need to be able to do a bar, and for sweet child you need to be able to move your fingers somewhat fast and precisely. Begginers can't do this. Unless it sounds like shit people should be allowed to play this without getting stared at.
At first I was like "This is average, I could play it as well". Then the heavens slowly unfolded. You have to listen to the whole song to understand how tasteful and balanced this arrangement is.
+Harry Evans Yeah I've watched that one too, left comments about his fingernails. Did you see the one where he's trying out his custom made 10 string guitar?
I love that subtle nod of thanks he gives to each person as they give him change, its amazing that in the midst of this passionate, touching performance, he still has the humility to show his gratefulness, hats off to him.
He is very good. I once heard a guitarist on the london underground. Do Stairway followed by little wing. He was so good I gave him £10. Theres some SERIOUS talent out there on the streets that mever gets a chance in life. Meanwhile we have X FACTOR. What a life.
It's because kids have zero concept of time and so spend time doing things they like or enjoy. Adults are always "too busy" to appreciate the finer things in life. Art, music and culture.
The fact that I come and visit this video over and over again is not because of the solo of this song it's because of how he puts his own style in between the original solo that's always gets me damn . Raw talent
I watch this at least once a week and it still blows my mind how so many people walk by without realizing that something truly special is happening right in front of them
I love how he still manages to puff the dart here and there without disruption! Lovely play and by the size of the crowd, I'm guessing this sounded 10x better in person!
"In life, beauty perishes; but not in art." Leonardo da Vinci Thank you Marcello for your beautiful artistic treatment of this classic Led Zeppelin song. Bellisimo!
This is an example of why to never disregard a song because it's simply popular and "overplayed" Of course this doesn't apply as well to cowboy chord songs, but this is simply a great performance. I see people roll their eyes at songs like free bird simply because it's popular. The Free bird solo is not easy to play, and it certainly is no wonderwall.
Only a few songs can turn your head no matter what country you are in....Stairway to Heaven is one of them. Good job Marcello bringing the jams home at the end of the song.
When I was in Milan with my mom (our second time) , we went up to the Duomo, and while we were walking up the stairs, someone from below was playing stairway to heaven, and it made it all the more wonderful and magical, it was such a lovely experience 🥺 Random stairway dude/lady, wherever you are now, I hope you have a great life and you achieve everything you want in life
Why is this person not mega famous in music circles and being richly rewarded for such prodigious talent? Because it shows that worldly recognition and success only happens to those gifted few for whom a random combination of factors fortuitously come together over time to 'set them apart'. The truth is, streets and piazzas the world over offer up equal genius.
@@zackglickert4495 if his mom gets cancer and he can't pay for the treatment then what? Despite his immense skill which if had gotten the right random combinations would have been able to very well pay for the treatment. Get the point? He doesn't need to be super famous or super rich, but the point of the original comment is that deserving people with skill very often end up not where people who were less skilled but more lucky than the former end up. It's essentially luck, and that sucks.
@@takeuchi5760 I see your point. I personally don’t believe in luck, I think it’s better to believe that your success is 100% tied to the work you put in to something. Even if i’m wrong, it still incentivizes one to work hard and take control of the future. This guys a fantastic musician, but does he market himself well? how’s his social media presence? how creative is he when it comes to where he plays, what he plays, etc? I don’t think having a victim mentality is healthy or accurate
@@zackglickert4495 I agree that it's not very useful to sit and mope about something out of your control. I just feel it's better to be mindful of the fact that not everything is under your control, because one day for sure you get knocked down, and when you do, if you didn't have the right mindset it's very easy to fall into self blame and regret when you obsessively think that you could have done X to avoid Y. And if you fall into that cycle it's much harder to get back up if you're susceptible to this kind of thing. I know this from personal experience.
Beautifully enhanced. Loved the little nuances he added to it. Very passionate and capturing. I would've just sat their in front of him just listen to this and vibe. Took me back man
Now that's what I call a musician. Someone who puts his heart and soul into producing the sweet sounds of music. Something most musicians lack these days.
He's a guitar wizard. I love this song and he managed to make it more perfect than it is! He plays with the soul! I'm stunned! Congratulations to this great anonymous artist!
One of the best covers of this song I have ever heard, when you consider it's a live version and he is alone( and actually smoking a cigarette). He has a great feel for the song and the melody. I'll listen again!
This one of my favourite music performances i have ever seen cover or not you play with so much emotion it brought tears to my eyes thanks for beautiful music man
Because his awesome guitar playing will be an inspiration to many, but children may tie being that admired with smoking, and not just the talent at guitar.
LukeInside. I certainly agree !! I do believe in constructive critism. I am just usually ten timemes more carful of the words and how well I know someone first. I once heard a guy my dads work. His opinion was of less than positive nature with no reason at all but to complain. My dad simply looked through his eyes with a grin saying "Well, comming from a nonprofessional such as yourself I suppose your opinion means absolutely nothing" )))))) We can not escape judgement as long as there is opinion so I remain thankful for all those donate a video not so much for afame but just simply to share when it comes to muc. Thanks Leo95lennon Thanks Mr Calabrese )). Shit I been playin' that tune for something like 35 years! He does a fine job! One thing I have always said, If we want to make something exactly like the original then why not just listend to the original. The point is to ad ones own flavor and Marcello does good work. Clearly a veteran player and I would love to jam with him!! Slap back a smoke, thick dark beer and a foggy mountainside jamming good old classics to order?. Ok am I getting carried away now? )) Rock on Marcello!
Well, I could criticize but...what's the point? He played, somebody recorded and posted it, all this is more than decent. Those who don't really enjoy it had better find something they like rather than criticizing...
I am simply subjuged by this song. This man is a wonderful guitarist. He play with his heart and his fealing are clearly understanding in his song. I heared this song with a greatest pleasure, and i encouraged him. He has more talent than modern musician...
+Aeros mith they probably don't have a clue on how difficult this song is to play.. I've been playing a guitar for 3 years and still sound rough playing it
+how do i change my name hey man, I think I can help. I'm 14, and have been playing guitar for about a year now and I can play the first five minuets of the song. RU-vid a guy named Justin guitar and look up his stairway to heaven tutorial. Hope it helps!
He has several classic songs listed on RU-vid. I can't wait to hear, Hotel Cal., comfortably numb, another brick n the wall, and others. He has a unique style. Sounds cool. Update:3pm, 3/16/14 - Heard the others, this was probably his best effort.
