Check out the current No Prep Elite Championship Points Standings after the Cordova Race & Robin Robert's winning the event after getting the Lucky Chip!
I really think when they started it, they thought it would go away, and the car count would pick up by the time points were handed out. Making so many races, so spread out, in such a short time frame has hurt NPK. (Please quit calling it anything else!!!!!)
That lucky chip worked out very well for Roberts, now if Shawn would of had that bad run 1st rd and lucky chip back in could of been his lucky day also. So is it who gets the lucky chip it's OK because most of the guys aren't fan favorites.
I totally don’t understand the NPK/NPE points system. Murder Nova has more round wins, a higher round win percentage, more winners bracket finals appearances, more winners bracket wins and more second chance finals wins than Roberts. Yet he trails him in points? How is that possible?
That’s why I like the list better. And I wish they could bring a new list format back. But that’s to murky with call outs and top spots benefitting from all the broken down cars behind them blocking off the list. I think they basically needs bracket racing where winner gets 1st place points and the last place gets last place points. They need loser brackets to determine where the first round losses fall. Which gives the people with issues more runs to figure it out but not more points for winning like the winners. If there’s 15 cars then first place gets 15 points down to last who gets 1 point. And every week every car should be ranked so if Shawn is top dog in points make sure it’s all over that he’s number 1. That keeps people interested when it’s broken down like that, people see upsets in the npk races and it means little because people don’t know where anyone is really ranked. And this is all fine and dandy except all these street outlaws npk vs Canada or Australia or California shouldn’t be added to points but maybe they could have call outs for just npk cars at those races worth some points. And no more cheesy call outs like Chuck thrives off of. He likes to call out whoever is having issues as a grudge to get a cheap points win. Like when he tried calling out lizzy when she had issues and she refused him and raced kye instead. Those call outs are dirty as shit and no one should get points for calling out a busted ass car
I think there was a big difference between right lane and left lane. The final 3 races were decided on the lane you got. Left lane won the last 5 of 6 races and in the semis and final left lane won
Ya but the lane equalizer is literally the ONLY thing left that keeps this a street thing. It’s like they’ve already almost completely left the entire street and outlaws part of street outlaws. And then people complain they want the lanes equal. The thing is they fought against promods as the street outlaws. They wanted real cars. Then they went promod. Now there at drag strips with tons of rubber. Now you’re basically asking for a prep race which is THE ONLY THING that still sets them apart from what happens at every one of the thousands of strips across America every weekend. If u want that just go watch normal drag strip bracket racing dude. It’s just so wild how far it came. They pushed the outlaws to start traveling first which put them up against all the PROMODS across America despite having forced chief to abandon his cromod. Then reaper comes in and starts bitching and tries coating his fiberglass with a thin layer of metal and calling it a street car. I mean these guys have already been forced to completely abandon there street car and the streets. This is exactly why chief had such an issue with npk. Because literally there is no difference now between npk and every drag strip. There just basically famous reality stars now. Fair was never part of this. The entire thing was to have to face the odds and take your chances
