I'm now 60. Guy I grew up with bought a 72 Chevelle an went to work. Now it's primo he already had 4 door but sold it. New Chevelle body off resto an stroker 383. Problem is now it sits in storage 24/7 can't blame him after all that work who wants to deal with door dings an fender benders. But it sure is nice. He just bought full dresser Harley I guess for fun .
Rankin said the money wasn’t right to buy Damon’s. So he went with the new built Camaro. I can’t see Damon dumping a truck load of $$ to a dieing class
@@kangawallafox85 Well the class isn't anywhere close to dying . People keep saying that, but the stands are packed and as long as they're packed, the series will continue. They're making money hand over fist right now.
@@davidp2391Wasn't talking about the drivers. Very few racers in any class make money, but there still pulling over 20 cars a race and that's as good if not better than any other door slammer classes out there.
@@easye9-21 people saying that too aslong as the stands have people. look how many cars are for sale. 3 seasons ago you had to build one, now you can buy a competitive car easily. The only ones making are the Ryan’s kyes and murder novas from merch sales. And when somone like Shaun came out and said he almost couldn’t afford to run this season. Making bank is far from the truth for most running the series.
This is a sad deal!! He should of not sold this car.. But, at 1 time, I thought he was leaving the show all together? Last year! He was talking about getting out of racing and leaving the show all together ' But, same thing as Reaper he was talking about leaving the show all together, racing and all. And he still is in it?. Lol
Discovery was sold and the new Owners made a lot of changes and supposedly a lot of people are not happy, there was talk that it was because of the Lawsuit from the family of the Guy who Died in the wreck on the show.
There's not going to be a next season... It's dead and the product that is out there now absolutely sucks. I'm not happy about it but I'm being honest . The product is half what it once was but the ticket prices are the same. I've gone to 2 races this year and have been only disappointed to the point I felt ripped off.
@@davidcole6265 not a full field of cars for one thing . Last season they had a whole extra class of guys that were just trying to qualify for a spot in the invitational. Now there's like 20 cars whereas last season there was close to 50 if you figure in the futures class.. all that and the prices to get in haven't changed one bit ! The fans are absolutely getting robbed and it's showing in the stands .
Really sad that he spent all that money just to sell it. That’s when you know that you let the show go to your head instead of just sticking to what got you there from the start.
That’s a little harsh. He likely built the car based on the income he was receiving from Discovery/Pilgram via contract. No way he could know that Pilgram was going to bail on NPK and Street Outlaws and not renew his contract.
He had to step up to be competitive. The Camaro is 3 gens behind the top guys. Just bad timing with the Pilgrim pull out and little to no sponsorships.
@@ronkrueger3496we all forget it was completed a year later than scheduled. If completed on time it would have been on npk and things may have Ended diffrently.
@@danmyers9372 I could be wrong but didn't Discovery drop them when they were Purchased by I think Warner Brothers, from what I read there was a lot of internal fighting over the changes being made and the Lawsuit over the Death of the guy at JJ race.
WHY DID HE SPEND ALL THAT MONEY ON A CAR AND BUILD IT TO RACE, AND NOT RACE IT???? PROBABLY WAS SCARED OF IT!!! SO NOW HE IS WORKING ON HIS OTHER CAR? WHY? I JUST DONT UNDERSTAND??? MUST BE NICE TO HAVE ALL THAT MONEY!!!
We’ll get of the RU-vid comments and pocket watching others …and go out and make your own money and you go drive a car of that caliber instead of being a whiny lil pocket watcher
