I live right next door to this state New Hampshire I live in Vermont and I've never been to the dragstrip is it down in Southern New Hampshire somewhere near the ocean?
They have to put 250 lbs more weight on the Supercharged setups to make it a more even race so at the end of the day Ryan will always have the fastest car regardless as to who wins.
Not just that. Then he'll just go back to TURBO. You do remember what he's done with that set up. ONLY TEAM TO DOMINATE WITH DIFFRENT, & TOTALY DIFFRENT SET UPS!!
They are already over regulated. It all began as steel roof ,quarters and cowl with a VIN number. Now theres all different weight breaks according to engine size and power adders. Take a lesson from NHRA Pro Stock. When they had all the different weight breaks for displacement , wheel base, it turned into a nightmare and you still always had one particular combination that was superior. Sorry but if the nitrous cars cant keep up with the prochargers do some more developmemt 9n the nitrous cars . Same for the turbos. Its an easy choice either switch to whats working or do more development on what you have. The less regulations you have the easier it is to police the less exspensive it is in the long run.
Ryan is truly the man to beat year in, year out. He knows something the other teams don't. He has figured out a magical way to set up his car,...track to track and always ends up the fastest. His team is probably 60% of it. With Steve Petty tuning for him??? I don't know if he pulls down the wins he does.
Steve does not do all the tuning for Ryan...he went to 4 races with Ryan last when he first changed combo's. Hasn't been to one this year. He goes with them to test some and was with him at a dyno session after they blew it up to make sure it wasn't Ryan's tuning that caused it..if he's having trouble I'm sure he's a phone call away but he doesn't tune every pass or race even..Ryan himself is a great tuner and made a living doing it for years
@@douglasenzor48 I'm aware of that Dougie McDougerson. But he is still a HUGE part of that team. And while Ryan is a good tuner??,...... he GREATLY lacks the knowledge Petty possesses when dealing with tune combos on certain tracks. If you open that laptop, you'd find a shitload of saved Petty tunes. And for the record,..... he doesn't need to be at the track,....when he can review data from his livingroom and adjust whatever in real time. I think you misunderstood the sum of my words in the previous comment. No biggie. Just don't assume next time. Been racing and in the game a long long time hot rod. I've known Shawn and Phantom for years through his dad's body shop. I know more than you think Dougie boy. Lol😆 SMFH😏
@@theariesexperiment4642 well being in loop like you are you'd clearly know during the majority of these races Steve is tuning at the track for 3 of the 4 proline sponsored nhra division cars he runs..anywho Steve helps your boys Shawn that you know through dads body shop so why hasn't he piled up the wins.lighter car, more power,Steve should have him in the finals every week.same goes for daddy Dave..maybe it's because they take what they have from Steve as a baseline to work on and you read the track that you are AT and fine tune the car for condition..you almost got it figured out old school!!
Love to see Ryan win - he has an edge over almost everyone, and he's generally very polite and professional - especially I like seeing him win over that punk, Kye, who often cheats the start on a flag or flashlight - except here he would have redlit!
