Yeah his was maybe the truest sense of what this video should have been but the kids was right there with him and maybe john legend 3rd but the 4th and first were PR stunts
John legend is so soulful... man it's been so long since I've listened to him and this randomly got recommended. Also I love how everyone is playing with a smile on their faces. It makes me feel even better knowing they really enjoy singing. There's just something about street music performances.
He is incredible. At first I thought it was player-piano as his hands barely move and it doesn't seem possible that music is coming from his playing as it is so effortless and subtle.
He is pretty amazing. I wasn't sure if he was that good until a friend of mine bought tickets and we went to see him live. Let me tell you ridiculous! The way he can use a loop pedal to sound like a whole band is something special to watch.
yes...there is always a twat like this guy in british culture.....hanging on and hoping to be getting in on the act, although he's a twat and we can all see that...he doesn't know it........that guy isn't british culture...he's..well...just a twat.........you can't quite see that can you winter
@@edwardkent let's be real. British culture is getting pissed and having a good time. Don't act like it's not. He wasn't wrong saying about only posh cunts would disagree
This is one of the biggest reasons why I love music. All of these people are united. Everyone in those crowds probably knew nothing about each other but for a brief moment in time they all shared the same feelings and emotions.. Truly beautiful
John Legend’s voice sounds just as amazing live (presumably through a phone’s crappy mic) in a space with a ton of background noise as it does when he’s recorded on an album. It totally makes sense why he’s a vocal coach on The Voice.
This is from before he was famous famous as it was during the diamond jubilee celebrations only about 10 months after he released his debut album. So it is just his neighbours and friends
There's a reason Ed Sheeran is the #1 global artist. Dude sings, raps, does a reggae accent + plays the guitar and does it all flawless while having fun ...... how does he do it😂.
Thank you so much. Just commented asking for the name of the song. I have really very bad memories. I thought nobody knows him since the comments are only about Ed and John.
yeah they shouldve ended the vid on him. couldnt watch the last guy cause the good mood i was in after Ed just wouldnt fit with the sad tone of the last guys.
Yes though the compiler of this has taken already recorded numbers to fit his caption, Kodaline have done plenty of CD stuff without mikes, etc, possibly the others have too. Include Mumford and sons maybe ...
The talent that poured out of that easy spoken song Ed played out..... the rythm skills, the guitar skills, the games with the voice...it's just a zero challenge song that could never sound as good as he does it
0:17 John Legend - All of Me 4:33 Keane - Somewhere Only We Know 8:36 Shawn Mendes - As long as you love me 11:03 Ed Sheeran - You need me I dont need you 16:48 Kodaline - All I want
I agree it was awesome, but I think the only one here with an actual "street" performance was Ed. no equipment, no stage, just a dude killin it having fun with buddies drink in hand.
A lot of his older songs are absolute gems. It’s worth looking up this same song he did hear but in The studio version of “you need me, I don’t need you”. Really shows off his talent.
How can you measure humbleness? haha I didnt see anyone being rude or UNhumble hahaha each one has a style and humbleness could be fake too. As well as real... We never know! So how can we measure that? lol
This is why he is so relatable, so many kids grown up the way he did, seeing the same shiz he did and feeling the same about the world. Honestly if I was there seeing that I'd probably cry
@@bobathy5710 what i meant is that he is literally at the street (pavement to be specific, but whatever he is still near the street haha). That's why i quoted it "street performance" because he is literally performing at the street. Should i r/whooosh you now? 😂
Ed Sheeran is on another level here. It's beyond just holy shit there's a famous person here. He plays along with the hecklers and the musical wannabees. and not only plays around with them, but still includes them with everyone else; and showcases talent while stile including everyone. what a pure a fun moment. I'd try and heckle along for no other reason then to be a part of it, and that's kind of what it's all about.
@@MonkayMan420 it's obviously a street performance. Maybe some of them are his friends, but there are also strangers there. Like the annoying guy who was talking on the phone mid performance, showing the other person on the line that he was listening to Ed
I was at the Keane one and I had obviously known the song but I never seen them so I said to my dad 'omg they sound just like the band' and mt dad turned round to me and said 'that's because that's the band' 😂😂
Kodaline is a really amazing band, they deserve the recognition and more. The song sounds that just as good live as it did recorded. The end is quite perfect.
Probably not perfect pitch, but it's a damned good trained ear for sure. Doing it nonstop for a long time will get you almost to perfect but not quite. Very few people have perfect pitch, and you'd be surprised to know that most of them don't even know they have it and don't even sing or play an instrument. God given gift literally wasted.
Ethan Wharton 1. You obviously don’t realize that auto tune isn’t just sounding like a robot, and that it’s more about getting rid of the minor imperfections in pitch or tone. 2. Rap is real music for sure. I personally HATE modern rap (mostly), but as with every genre: pop, rock, metal, jazz, RAP, it’s all about expression. Go listen to the Hamilton soundtrack (Broadway play that is almost completely rap, it’s really really really really good). Go dig around for some older rap. NF is another example. I know he is a very recent artist but still. I agree that a lot of modern, mostly mainstream rap is just terrible, but to say that it isn’t real music? I’m sorry but I’ve never heard something so wrong in terms of music.
Most musicians recently have begun too stop using it. It was a 90’s and 00’s fad but now everyone is beginning to want real voices again, so you tend too see it more often now
@@bobathy5710 please do research before you say something stupid. Basically any modern song is autotuned to some extent. If you can't hear it, that just means it's working.
John Legend is in so many ways more than a legend. His divinely soulful voice, organically beautiful compositions make him the best Soul and R&B musician of his generation ❤️
Ed is NO1 because he is so diverse in his talents. He is a legendary song writer in so many genre's of music that it almost makes it easier for the performer including himself to perform the song that's written. If you can write fast fluent musical rap like he can and perform to his standard, where else are you going to be other than No 1?
Ed really is a talented guy! natural musician all around! pretty sure hes just playing outside his house too. took a lot of his sound from Dispatch and OAR.
@@student-noahleydon2219 Haha it’s kinda funny Cause Ed Sheeran hates when people say “natural talent” or “born with talent” cause he said you have to work for it haha. I kind of agree, saying somebody is naturally talented takes away from all of the hundreds, probably thousands of hours they spent mastering their craft.
@@joecyr5836 he says that despite being one of the many celebrities to have generational wealth to fall back on? I apologise if I seem rude but having a lot of money behind you if it goes wrong doesn’t really make it hard work in my eyes?
@@Ghostinasuit Hard work is hard work. Idk what you mean. If I’m rich and make let’s say for example a house from scratch, that is still hard work regardless of if I’m rich. A poor person can be lazy too? Idk what wealth has to do with hard work. Not only that but Ed Sheeran played gigs in and out of bars and small venues for years before he hit his big break. You don’t learn to play like this through laziness, but instead, hard work.
You were excellent! Country music is something i have listened to all my life!!! So glad you are being welcomed into that family of excellent songwriters and preformers and family that want the best for each other!!! Proud of you as always!!!❤
Ed is so down to earth, as if you’d go down some random street party and he’s there with his shoes off, beer behind him on the wall chilling with everyone and singing! Such a top lad!
The Keane song is so beautiful, it's a song that years down the line, when it's almost over, I want to listen to with my close friends that have taken this journey called life with me.
@@Peanutdenver I wish I could have seen that with my own ears! I'm in Okinawa, Japan right now and my friend made me listen to a few songs of M. Sheeran including "Happier". I just fell in love with that song!
I miss my wife, my best friend. She left me after 14 years being together. She started an emotional affair while visiting her family in California last February. Carried the affair through her next trip, first week of July. Came home and told me she wanted to move back and didn’t want me or her 10 and 11 year old dogs to join her. Ripped my heart out. She just left this morning. I live in NC and she picked up her mom from the airport and is driving as I type this. I’m a sad human being right now. I guess I got too comfortable but I thought forever meant forever. I’m a mess
Exactly what I'm trying to do right now as I scroll through all the comments . . . and I STILL have no idea who the African American fella is that was playing the piano.
I like how there’s usually a pretty large variety of people crowding around all the singers but there’s basically only teenage girls around Shawn Mendes
The difference with them and edit: some of (as I noticed another has a mic too) the others is there's no production to the others... These guys have mics and stands etc. where *at least it seems* the rest are their instrument and nothing else. Not saying they aren't amazing....cuz they are... but that's the big difference for me.
