In this week's video, I take the Fujifilm GFX100 II Medium format camera for a street photo walk around beautiful Edinburgh. I take you on a POV journey as I find my images and give my final thoughts around whether you need these huge megapixels and massive sensors for street photography.
For me, it comes down to what images you like to shoot. The GFX 100II takes stunning images but it's slower to use than a Fuji X camera or other mirrorless cameras so it won't suit those of you who love to shoot quickly when you're out and about. But if you have a slower way of working and also do things like landscape photography then it's an amazing camera to consider.

HI Andrew The GFX is a bit big for me but I would like to know what the support system you are using is as I am in my late70's and camera support especially with long lenses has become a problem

Nice solid images, especially the ones you selected to be B&W. The camera I care about, the price tag that's associated with it, heck no. It can sit on the store shelf looking pretty and I would have to walk right by. Thanks for sharing.

What do you think about Fujifilm X-T20 with fujinon 18-55mm lens? How much is good max price for used body (only)?

Very nice, Andrew. Your journey with street photography seems to have parallels with my own. My main genre is landscape. But when I travel I take the opportunity to explore the streets with camera in hand. In the last few years my adventures have focused on cities in North America, Europe and Japan. Later this year I will visit Edinburgh for the first time, and have already been looking at YT vids to get a sense of some of the more promising locations. Maybe I'll see you on the street. In the meantime, keep the vids coming! Cheers

The film simulations in LR are only rough approximations compared to SOOC. Much better to use X Raw Studio for RAW conversion with DxO PL7 for actual editing.

1:29 should be BW. hm... maybe you can leave only yellow though. camera giving very cinematic look to a photos

And what exactly, beside the croping capabilities, was now made possible through this camera? On 1:26 you even said that you were in need for your pocket phone's camera to take shots instead. Cozy video and I like your style. But I am not sure why I would need to spend 10 grand to make photos like these. And before the pitchfork mob arrives: I am not saying that your photos are bad. I am just asking myself if I found myself in another GFX 100II clickbait video or not 🤔
