Street Racer ARRESTED at Cash Days Race in Texas! 

I'm all for track safety for both drivers and spectators, and the reason street racing is so frowned upon is because idiots often race on roads where there are uninvolved bystanders getting hit or killed. These cash days have some level of safety doing it in the middle of the night away from traffic roads, but if one of these cars gets sideways and gets cut in half by a phone pole who goes to jail? How many minutes does it take for the ambulance to get there?

​@theKashConnoisseur reply facts tho. Most police departments sponsor race tracks in some way from. What I've seen. Like at bandimere sdeedway colorado state patrol sponsored the test n tune every weekend amd even brought cop cars and raced with us lol

How are the police supposed to stop real estate development? That's something that gets approved by local planning commissions comprised of the people you vote for. The way to influence these decisions is to attend planning commission meetings and speak up, or send a letter to be read in at the meetings.

This is a lame excuse. You know that. It's illegal to street race. It's their job to catch you breaking the law. When you were a kid and played cops and robbers did you cry like this when you got tagged. Did you start coming up with excuses why you shouldn't have been tagged? Or was that part of the game. The cops try to catch the robbers. The robbers try to get away. It's dumb to say well there's no tracks so we should be able to race wherever we want. I grew up skating and this was always brought up. There's no skatepark so we are going to skate wherever we want. But when the cops showed up we didn't argue we should be allowed. We ran and said fuck the police. This complaining and trying to get out of trouble with lame excuses is baby shit.

Texas race tacks aren't shutting down foo. Lol they make money down here.

If you can't pass race track tech inspection, you shouldn't be racing on the streets, either. And when you send your foxbody through the side of an industrial warehouse because "I don't need no safety inspection, I know my car", you just hurt someone financially. And possibly physically if there's workers present.

That and how ridiculously expensive the tracks have gotten and you'll be lucky IF you get more than 2 passes in the ONE day they are actually open. Nobody is crashing these cars into warehouses, get real.

You are so close. Instead of saying "state" - investigate who locally is allowing the sale of those properties and stop them. Too much effort? Let the tracks close and go to jail then. Complaining on socials is the one thing that for SURE gets nothing done.

The State is not buying that property nor are they in charge of building homes. You need to at least figure out who to blame first.

Off the top a track has safety barriers, runoff areas, emergency medical response on site, pre-race safety/tech inspections, track marsalls that can yellow flag after an incident, and grandstands to keep fans safely OFF the racing surface. Not to mention there's no private property lining the sides of the track for you to drive your car into.

Locations on the street are chosen specifically because they have enough room with run off. No one's standing in the trajectory of the cars on the road, and people get told off or told to leave if basic common sense escapes them. The work track employees do can just as easily be replicated by anyone else off track, and often is. Ironically, many drag or circuit track employees, also street race, just FYI. Lot's of cops and military personnel do too. Additionally, tracks are getting shut down everywhere or cost too much just for the privilege to make a couple of passes, that can be done in 15 minutes on a secluded road.

And we've seen plenty of videos on this channel where the spectators are standing on the road, right in the path of the vehicles. Nobody says a word to 'em either. Nobody kicks 'em out, and nobody has the authority to. Can't really kick someone off a public road, can ya. Unlike at a track, see. And saying "many people do X, Y, Z" doesn't change anything I've said. Nor do tracks getting shut down change things. If you're too lazy to drive a few hours, that's on you. if you're too broke to afford a track day, you probably shouldn't be building race cars. Get a second job instead.

@@John-pe6ld lol it's just called no replacement for displacement. Not saying that it had to have it but putting the bigger bored and stroked crank definitely increased my torque exponentially lol. Besides the wagon wasn't the final stop for the engine, I built it for my Bronco. I just put it in the wagon to have fun with it and break the engine in.
