Its actually illegal to have flashing lights on a vehicle that isnt an emergency vehicle. Even color-changing underglow is against the law for being a distraction

Flashing blue red lights will bring charges for impersonating a police officer. That is jail, not a fine, not a liscense suspension. That shit is jail.

Fun fact: Flashing lights on civilian vehicles are illegal in most states. It is considered a distraction to other drivers. So folks buy this at your own risk.
@skylined5534 2 things: most animated digital signage of some sort is banned, as it is considdered a distraction. This varies greatly from state to state however, so double check that In your area. HOWEVER, the red/blue flashing light (or a flashing light of any color except amber) is illegal for anyone exvept emergency vehicles in just about every state, and WILL get you at the very least fined, if not arrested for reasonable suspicion of impersonation.

You forgot to mention the part where having these lights flashing and/or moving could be constituted as creating a dangerous driving environment due to causing distractions, which is also a crime

Most of that is illegal around the country. The red and blues is definitely illegal, some states say having any lights on your car is, some say you can have one solid colour but no multicolor
In most places your not allowed to have flashing ligjts on your vehicle bc its a distraction and can count as impersinating a police officer, but even in the places that allow it, red and blue lights are the only exception and are not permitted to be used

when i was a kid i used to think about cars having lights like this when they turned, saying what they planned to do or giving other written explanations of the situation. now it is basically becoming reality. just needs a few tweaks.

Just an FYI, definitely don't wanna do the police lights. It is a serious federal offense. Just like in some states, if you have underglow lights, you can't have red or blue.

How do you figure? Why would it be a federal offense, to impersonate somebody… Who is not a federal employee? Police officers are governed by the state that they work in, not the federal government.

Uhh for starters, it's NOT a federal crime, there is a huge difference between state charges Secondly you are allowed to have them you just can't use them on the road or use them to impersonate a police officer.
