I love street-photography Dan, so this is right up my strasse. Get this one out the way to start, but I think this is your best video to date. An all-round great photography combo, camera, lens, recipes, filter, that, imho, just nailed that broody old analogue look, that could be old photos that have been sat in a dusty draw for the last 30 years, that we're looking at. Fuji cameras and the whole system gives photographers so much depth of choice to get really creative...I've tried a couple of Captn 's recipes and thought they were very good and quite unique really, clearly a guy who has taken a deep dive into the world of formulating and understanding recipes and the whole science...I must get an FLD soon, to properly try out his 'FLD recipes', and they're pretty cheap really. I'm also really tempted with the PolarPro 28mm, again, a bargain price. It just shows you don't have to spend in the high hundreds, or thousands, to get results you want....Anyway, great stuff, I loved the images, and also, I think the video footage in this looks excellent.

I might have chosen the 16mm if I had it to do over…but still, I’m liking this focal range for an all around carry. The 16mm has the vignette and it looks nice and natural. These lenses are center driven so having the corners and side collapsing really brings attention to the center. I LOVE the focus fall off on the sides of the frame. I wrote PolarPro and told them they should send me the 16mm for all the free advertising I gave them lol. Most of the CAPTN LOOK Recipes are free but his newer ones have a fee. If I had a newer x-trans I’d be all over those. The part of the photography I didn’t (couldn’t) capture well is how well the spot point metering helps in finding the exposure that works best for the recipe and lens. There is no need to focus so I spent that time working exposure instead. Contrast exposure to create focus is really what’s going on. Oh, and, FYI, if you do the CAPTN FLD recipes, the exposure can be limited in range and tricky to find your spot…but once you find it…magic baybee! I didn’t care for the Medulin necessarily, just too soft on the contrast for my taste. I’m replacing it with Restless Tint. Thanks so much for the comment on this video! I was concerned about the flow but feel more at ease. Thank you 🙏
