Strelitzia aka Bird of Paradise is one of my all time favorite plant in the world! I really really love the majesty of this beautiful plant! Not only the leaves are glossy, green, big and amazingly beautiful but it also displays the most intrinsically unique flower. Forget about roses I just want bird of paradise!
I have talked to you all a lot about the streletzia reginae and now is time to introduce to you the amazing giant bird of paradise - the Strelitzia nicolai! This plant is humongous! Very fast grower and the leaves are gigantic more in a banana shape, a bit darker green and the flowers are huge and white with a bit of blue color. I am so in love with my plants. They make me very happy and I hope they make you happy as well.

Hi very beautiful bop 😊 , which side window ur nicolai u placed, I placed my bop on east side high sealing living room is that ok to keep pls reply 😊

Hi Prasanna! Thanks for your kind comment and congrats on your Bird of Paradise! To answer your question, Yes, an east facing window is perfect! She will get plenty of good indirect sunlight! The birds of paradise that you see in this video are in a west facing room, so they get lots of bright light, but because we have the blinds closed and they are not directly in front of the windows they end up getting indirect sunlight for 6 to 8 hours like an east facing window. My other two bird of paradise are in front of an east facing window and they get less bright sunlight but still enough to thrive beautifully. BOP are very adaptable and they will do great as long as they get those minimum 6 hours of sunlight either direct or indirect. I prefer indirect sunlight because direct sunlight to any plant indoors can burn them and then you have to make sure to rotate them often and have a humid environment. Hope this helps.
