Hi! Thanks for the video! I got a problem: an error occurs when I perform the analysis. I think that's due to the missing axisymmetrical options I should set. Do you have any suggestion in order to solve the problem? Thanks a lot!
I don't exactly get your problem...but if u are Modelling something in a different software and then importing in axis... maintain the plains and symmetry about origin respectively !....I'm really sorry for late reply 😅
MechbuzZ I have a problem , when I draw a thick cylinder , it considered solid and the setup selection in the acp is stop working (cause it’s solid structure not shell structure) Any suggestions?
Well I don't hv any idea about acp...but u can try to extrude the surface (without any thickness) and there might be an option apply material thickness. Try with that it shud work i guess....
Hi, When I follow this tutorial and try to run it I get a message saying not enough constraints have been applied? I didn't see you add any in yours is there something I have missed? Thanks in advance
It shudnt be..This video wasn't covering any specific boundary condition...for example in can the external force is only atmospheric pressure n since it is cylinder(close loop) so it somehow automatically resists the pressure. Btw it depends on what u are trying to find. If u can provide me some specific case like hoop stress, longitudinal strain etc may be i can help u out !!
Thanks for the reply! I'm trying to find the equivalent stress and the total displacement. The only two differences I noticed were 1. I had to save my solidworks part as a STP file to import it And 2. When applying the pressure to the internal surface it split the surface into 2 semi circle faces so I had to choose both I don't know if either would affect the solver
@@dominicbarlow5365 As far as I know, stl files models approximate of a model not the model itself...n the reason why it sometimes doesn't catch with the 3d printers. Better try once directly importing .sldprt !....may be because of stl the geomtry is changed, cz if u have to apply pressure inside on two different face then its no longer a tube(extrusion) i guess ...
BTW, I will try to make video validating theoretical and simulation results. I think it will clarify the analysis n its scope better. (Specially equivalent stress and displacement one). ThankYou for reminding and bringing things into consideration!!
Which version u r using ? Check the boundary conditions & constraints...better hv a look on new video in which i hv verified numerical n simulation results !
Yeah...idk why its happening, usually it happens bcz of constraints n boundary conditions...u can share ur problem on my mail....if possible i'll try to look when i'll get time..
