I'm 43 I have a stress test this month and I've never had surgery this helped me out so much with my anxiety because I was worried about what was going to happen
I just had this done to me today (Lexiscan), and because it was foreign to me I got scared, but I only felt pressure as if they were filling your body up with something, like in the Matrix and you thought you were drawning and pulling you in different directions. At one point they did ask me if I wanted to call the Ambulance and I said no is not that bad, is pressure, slight headache, dizzy and at the end, you can taste the metal. It wasn't an awful experience at all, but it wasn't roses either, but no pain at all!
I am very impressed about your honesty. Lot of clinic prescribed stress tests as a mean to make more money. As you said in the beginning of the video, stress tests should not be done if no symptoms and no history of heart disease
@@ethanoneill9135 Everything was normal. My brother passed away from coranary thrombosis last year and I think it was more in my head, but I didn't want to take chances.
Super-informative video- great job explaining exactly what to expect during a stress test! I had a stress-echo test about a year ago… I was a bit nervous about this test, but actually did well thanks to all of the heart-healthy changes I’ve made in my life.
What do you make of the Stanford study suggesting a high blood pressure reading after a stress test actually indiicates you're more fit than others who don't. I tested high and I find it hard to believe it's good news?
Why would I experience NSVT during intimate activity with my bf but not during exercise or even during a stress test? My doctor doesn't even believe I have NSVT and says it's just stress but I get short runs of really fast forceful tachy (2-6 beats).
I’m 38 and had a stress test last year and they stopped it early because of too high BP. Now I’m on beta blockers and an ARB medication. This year I was only able to make it to 6:45 before I had to stop. Still haven’t heard back from the cardiologist and I’m worried.
Thank you Chris, i just had a stress test yesterday, and noticed that my BP reached a very high 182 or more over ??? on the screen mid way through the test...is that normal after about stage 4 in the test.
Had to get this scheduled today. HR @ 230 while sleeping. St. Jude bedside monitor detected this rate. Pacemaker implanted 93. ASD repair. I’m 47 female and I don’t have time for this!
I have to do this same test and I'm 17. I don't think I'm going to last that long. I'm hoping to make it to 2 mins but this information helps my anxiety about passing out and what the information means. Thanks Dr
Stress test is very painful because they squeeze your arm attached to the blood pressure machine 7-8 tomes during the treadmill test. I was in excruciating pain during the 16 minutes the whole procedure took. I was not expecting such a large amount of Bp monitoring.about 3...not 7-8 that I received. A lot of pain on my left arm up to two full days later.
@@briannegnubu2346 I honestly dont remember the levels,i was just focusing on trying to meet the required heartbeat which is 180 for them to be able to read the result better.
@@briannegnubu2346 Also,i think the levels and the target heartbeat depends on your age and gender, since im female i think its lower than male, not sure though. Sorry, thats all i can explain 😊.
