Dance partner Giovanni celebrated his 32nd birthday on Monday, and Rose took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message alongside an unseen clip of the two.
In the video Giovanni wafts his black cape towards the camera before revealing Rose, who is wearing a glittery black top hat, and the two daze into each other's eyes.
Complete with a background of red curtains and Hollywood-style bright lights, the pair then laugh off the funny moment.
Rose's split with Sam marks another instance of the doomed 'Strictly curse' striking once again, with her breakup coming only two weeks after fellow 2021 contestant Adam Peaty announced his split from girlfriend Eirianedd Munro.
After three years together the Olympic swimmer and former Strictly contestant, 27, took to Instagram on 23 August to share the sad news that he had parted ways with his long-term partner, 23, with his followers.
He said that the couple had decided to go 'their separate ways' but that their son George, who is two next month, remained their 'priority', also apologising for letting the two of them down.
Announcing the news via social media, Adam wrote: 'Eiri and George, I'm sorry for letting you down. My only interest is for the well-being of our family at this difficult time.'
Eirianedd took to her own social media to announce the split, predicting she will face an 'incredibly difficult' future.
Adam raised eyebrows with his chemistry with pro partner Katya Jones on the dance floor last year.
A friend told the publication: 'Rose and Sam's relationship is definitely over, it's very amicable and they'll remain close friends, but unfortunately there is no future for them romantically.
'They spent a lot of time apart while Rose was away on tour, which has had an impact. It's been difficult for them both, of course, but they're certain it's the right move - and Sam's had a shoulder to cry on in their mutual friend Aimee.'
It comes after it was recently reported that Rose's friends have expressed doubt over the couple's future due to their busy work schedules and have said they are worried that the infamous Strictly curse may strike again.
Rose - who has kept her relationship fairly private over the years - holidayed in Barcelona by herself earlier this year.
A source told the publication: 'Rose and Sam drifted apart, especially after she became so busy with work projects and was in-demand with new work opportunities.
'They still have a lot of love and respect for each other, but they're also still young and working out their lives.
The source added that Rose has been throwing herself into her work as she has been inundated with offers after Strictly.
