I did those balloon eggs one year for Easter and done them as the baskets,I put glitter on and hot glued jewels and did curly ribbon on the top. The eggs had their gift in it and all their candy...lol...the kids loved them.

This is cute & I did something like this in church when I was young. We made balloons like hot air balloons. It would be fun to make this as a gift with real toys or gadgets & candy. Maybe use de piece you cut out as a door or gift wrap so you don't know what's inside until you open de door LoL so cute & yours are lovely

lining the inside of the bottom of the egg with a small green felt circle would help the glue have something to cling to. It would give your egg some strength to attatch to the candle stick. It would also give your grass something to adhere to also.

Could I adapt this by using a natural twine and some moss? I envision some little birds or maybe a little fawn inside.

I sure that would be wonderful. Make sure to use twine or cord that is absorbent and not too thick or heavy. I might use white glue and just enough water to make it absorbent. It might hold up better. Would love to see it when it is done. Miriam Joy

Savionne Marie Regular matte modge podge, satin or gloss will work too.

Yes. The large ones are crochet cottons not embroidery floss.

Try using glue and do 75% glue and 25% water. Not sure if you are using glue or Mod Podge but your string maybe to thick so make it a little thicker mix.

@@Miriamjoy123 I used Mod podge and maybe it was thick because I used yarn because in another video, she used yarn. The problem was when I popped the balloon, the yarn didn't stay hard. It went down when I popped the balloon.

@@michellelaureano8017 I would use the white glue Mix. You can buy the inexpensive glue like school glue at the dollar stores or Walmart. Let your yarn really soak up the mix before you put it one. Make sure you glue is super dry before you pop ballon. Hope this helps.
