I had that happened to me at my place, and like it happened to my dad, some 50 years ago. All he did, was bringing it back together and totally secured with regular wire till it healed itself, and propped up with boards. But you can control all that by pruning the tree in shape you want, and dead heading some of the blossoms when that happened. Those trees are almost 100 years old, still producing to this very day.

I always thin my peach tree so the fruit has more air and space to grow. Propping up the branches is a good idea as well. I don't have any peaches this year, the frost got them. 😢

For peaches you have to take the little fruit off at the beginning of spring. In that way you will have bigger and healthier fruit in the summer. Don't worry that happened to all of us. Good luck from CA. Love your channel.

We live in Northwest Alabama and it has been hot, hot and hotter here. I still get out and work in the yard. However,, yesterday I was building a bench for our garage and for the first time in my life I think I got over heated. I had to sit down and pour a bottle of cold water over my head. I finally cooled off and went back to work. I was never sick but it was hot yesterday. I feel your pain

I get a little frustrated now because it seems like I can not get much done cause I am still working full time. So be thankful you have the time to take care of all those things. I am also reminded to not be too anxious about tomorrow and not to focus too much on getting things done but remember to enjoy the each day as the Lord as given us. My Dad's neighbor who lived behind him had Golden Delicious apple trees and when the apples would get big, she would prop up the branches with 2x4's so the branches wouldn't break. She had about 12 trees in her backyard. She would give them to the neighbors and I was allowed to pick my own. Our apple tree and peach tree got frost bit and so no fruit. One year the trees were loaded but the deer helped themselves.

I deeply, truly, hope you can save it enough to be equally productive in its future. Clearly this tree was thriving like it was three trees!!! Good bless you Evan and Rebecca, you have a gold mine in peaches! Edit/addition…maybe y’all need to realize you have the secret to peach productivity where you all are and perhaps need to find a way to get the most out of your peach trees without them being over stressed and over loaded? IDK anything about such things but perhaps a new avenue of looking at things has presented itself….ultimately for the better? Country View Acres may become Peach View Acres? Looks possible to me. Maybe Georgia peach has given away ?

Granny and Grandpa always thinned their branches on their peach tree to get the weight off and get air to the middle. They took off a bunch of the early little fruit so as to end up with large fruit at maturity. They also cut off clothesline poles (younger generation probably don’t even know what those are!) and used those to prop up the lateral branches. If the birds got bad, Granny had an old lace tablecloth to throw over it all.
@tonycosta3302

I was thinking he might not be pruning the trees correctly. The core of the peach tree was empty with all the fruit at the branch tips. There must be someone watching that can advise on how to prune them so that doesn’t happen.

@ruadhscottygirl2480 Месяц назад
@@tonycosta3302 I think it’s more that he didn’t thin the fruit. Fruit tree branches are never strong to begin with, and all that weight, plus all the rain water weight, was just too much.

Just like the old saying, 'If I didn't have bad luck, I'd have no luck at all'. Farming is not an easy life, because the more you do, the more you can have go wrong. I was going to say that maybe the excess rain we have had, could have something to do with your massive amounts of fruit, but I remembered at one time you were saying you hadn't had the rain we've had. We have had a wet year and then we got the remnants of Beryl and had 4+ inches of rain in in a day. But at least we didn't get any of the horrible storms like so many have had. I often watch a live youtuber who has good connections to radar and other equipment. He has a short time to go before receiving his meteorology degree and seems really well informed. Iowa, Illinois and several other states have had really bad stuff. I'm sure you will figure out a way to help your trees out, either trimming, supporting or even wrapping the trunks to help protect them. Hang in there. God doesn't give us an easy life, but he is there for us as I believe you know. Take Care.
