I have one of these sets that really saved me when was pulling the head off an engine, very little room to work on it and this worked well

Wow, those things are amazing. Just ordered the 16 piece set. You can't have enough tools to attack stuck/stripped fasteners.

So these will work when you strip left-handed bolts that you tightened instead of loosening them.

What you want is RocketSocket RS-101 Extraction Socket Set - 13 Piece Will do this all but better design of biting threads

I love these I'll be getting these I didn't know they had nut driver bolt biter sets.

In my experience these don't usually work. If the bolt is seized up enough to strip the head in the first place the bolt extractor usually just chews the rest of the head up.

I was wondering if pounding them onto a nut becomes a problem as it may deform the 1/4” hex end or even snap it. I have the master set from GearWrench in the lug nut style and I use a 6” extension as a hammering point. I suppose you could use a thicker 1/4” hex extension to hammer it on if needed. Hammering them on digs the ridge inside the bolt biter into the nut.

Would you replace your socket set for a bolt biter set , my plan is not to buy a reg socket set and just purchase at all the bolt biter sockets, now that you can tighten and loosen bolts, so anyone got any advice or opinions before I buy? I appreciate the advice and one love everyone

it'd be a lot faster to round off the heads with a rotary tool and micro drum sanding head.
