I like that they work in both directions in case you encounter a reverse thread bolt of something. Thanks for the review! Actually ordered the Brute lube when I saw you use it on a previous video 👍 More convenient than cutting oil.
In my experience these don't usually work. If the bolt is seized up enough to strip the head in the first place the bolt extractor usually just chews the rest of the head up.
I was wondering if pounding them onto a nut becomes a problem as it may deform the 1/4” hex end or even snap it. I have the master set from GearWrench in the lug nut style and I use a 6” extension as a hammering point. I suppose you could use a thicker 1/4” hex extension to hammer it on if needed. Hammering them on digs the ridge inside the bolt biter into the nut.
Would you replace your socket set for a bolt biter set , my plan is not to buy a reg socket set and just purchase at all the bolt biter sockets, now that you can tighten and loosen bolts, so anyone got any advice or opinions before I buy? I appreciate the advice and one love everyone
