In this first episode of upgrading our infotainment system in the L322 Range Rover TDV8, I strip out the whole Logic 7 system from the back of the car, as it's all water damaged. And make plans for a bluetooth audio install with new amp and full Android Auto / Apple Car play touch screen set up that will look 100% factory fitted.
Products fitted in this episode:
BHE760020 - RANGE ROVER L322 UPPER TAILGATE STRUT - WILL FIT ALL RANGE ROVER L322 MODELS 2002-2012

SUM-900 - REUSABLE DEHUMIDIFIER BAG - ABSORBS EXCESS MOISTURE FROM THE AIR AND PREVENTS CONDENSATION

It’s the hatch seal. Common problem on Range Rovers and responsible for taking out more rear mounted sound systems than the local druggy 😊

Stripping this out and fitting a drop-in unit seems like a good way to get around the issue of every Range Rover fix being an expensive rabbit hole, while adding features that you would never get on the original system.

The replacement head unit looks so good. I'll show all in the next video.

There is a chance the rear seal is not to blame for the water....... Whave you seen where it is coming in? It could be around the hinge on the left hand side

I'll have to have a proper inspection.

Seems like a lot less work to replace the water damaged unit and hopefully, fingers crossed, that will fix it and therefore retain the factory fitted features

A tin of DeOxit will cure all your problems! (I know from recent experience).

I cant believe how easily you pulled that spare wheel out! I had to fit a hoisting device(made in Germany that broke the first time I used it), you must have the strength of a Gorilla! Chris B.

Rear hatch seal is known to be pretty poor on the L322.
