Stripping Stain from a Camphor Laurel Vintage Chest for Restoration 

This was purchased from Market Place for $80 as a newly restored piece. This may be an unpopular opinion, I think that slapping lacquer over an existing finish and a little gold spay paint is not a
restoration! This beautiful old chest can
now breathe again. Chemical Stripper
to remove the heavy lacquer, and we
can now see the beautiful details in the
carved areas. Right down to the facial features.
