It's a fun video and it speaks to the song quite heavily, like all stromae's videos, right? You see the figure of a judge with a giant size gavel punching him dowm (the law), tha woman with the biggest rolling pin ever (the mom), she punches, but she also saves him, not because "we need more entretainment", but because it's tough love and the guy is running away from all his responsabilities. Including the ol' ball and chain, the wife. The thing is, he runs away from all of this to find himself in a bigger maze, lost and alone.

This song was the official anthem of the Belgium football team at the 2014 World Cup. By far my favourite Stromae song.

all the fighters are a different part of the a man life, the guy with a hammer is a judge, the woman with the rolling pin is his mom, after that we can see his wife , etc ......

It's not a death maze, it's a maze that symbolizes everyone's life hardships and solace (education, jobs, marriage and so on...). But the end game is still the same for us all. Schwarzy's "Running man" movie is based on Yves Boisset's film "Le prix du danger", but here in this video, instead of a TV show it's more related to how we, as members of a community, can observe our peers facing everyday obstacles.

The music video was directed by Lieven Van Baelen and released on RU-vid on 17 June 2014.[3] Stromae takes on the role of the ring announcer as a man is selected among the spectator crowd to run through and escape a raised obstacle course reminiscent of both The Hunger Games and The Maze Runner.[4][5] However, it also has deep rooted connections with the 1987 film The Running Man, which shares a similar story of an audience watching a man run through a game and having to fight new armed competitors as they appear eventually gaining freedom, much like the protagonist of the music video.[

So Ta Fete means "Your Party" but can also be a warning as it can also mean the same thing as "someone is getting on your case" in different context and the entire video is basically an analogue for this mans responsibilities. Notice how all of the people he's fighting are dressed a particular way. While we don't know the identity of some of them, we do known three. A man dressed in a Judges uniform, a woman dressed in an apron, and a woman in a wedding dress. These are people in his normal life, think of the video like a battle taking place in his brain. The judge is the pressure of the law to someone who likes to go out and party hence the ta fete. The woman in the apron his the mans mother, notice how during their fight, the man is about to fall but the woman catches him and embraces him. This is a visual representation of the bond between a mother and son, even when they fight, the mother would never let their son crash and burn without support. The wedding dress girl is obviously his wife (or maybe even girlfriend and she represents a fear of commitment) Notice the maze hes in, large, bending and ever changing, and when he finally escapes his responsibilities and leaves the maze, he finds only a large maze.

His brother and his wife are the creative people who help him to create all those amazing videos.

Ta fête" (French for Your Party) is a song by Belgian singer Stromae. On 3 February 2014 it was released as the fourth single from his second studio album Racine carrée where it appears as the opening track. On 17 March 2014 it was announced that it would become the official song for the Belgian football selection at the 2014 World Cup.

Yes, the clip is undoubtedly inspired by the American movie *Rollerball* (1975) mixed with "Le prix du danger" (1983 - The Danger's Price). This French movie had an American remake called *The Running Man* (1987 film) with Arnold Schwarzenegger. 😉
