The tank is essentially an air ballast spring for a syphon system. If you had a good valve on the input pipe and partially to fully fill the input to the tank, it will sustain a bit faster. The primary thing this would need is probably some filtering, but it will be fine for watering a few crops.

Do not be mislead by this video. It cannot pump water uphill from the inlet to the outlet. It will only work if the inlet is above the outlet, which is a siphon.

it seems to be ,the pond is higher than the rice field, it is simple siphon principle.

It is just an extra headache. The land level is already lower than the river water level. Simply a straight pipeline from the river to the land is enough.

impossible, because the river water level is lower than the outlet pipe, to raise the water you need suction power -H m, so in the drum you need negative pressure >H m, whereas at the outlet water level H1 m < H, so the river water rises only = H1

Dear Please don’t mislead the people, this is not a pump, pump should be possible pull up water above the inlet water level ( Well water level or river water level). But this system always should be final exit water out let below river/Well water inlet level. Otherwise it does not work.

I think that blue drum which have filled water from the river by you is more high position than the pipe output water so of course the water can out from the pipe. Sorry for my bad grammer and thank so much.

It is just a siphon effect. The outlet is lower than the river. No need a drum just a long hose and make a siphon.

Your water pump pipes : You should connected them by the strand female and male together .Because if you need to move them .you will easier to delivery them . and the first pipe in the water your should put the net for protect the trast ,twigs and leafs

The put pipe must be larger with a larger weight of water the the in pipe then gravity should keep the water flowing. So if there is 20 kg of water on the out side but only 5 kg on the in side then the weight should draw the water . If no air gets in I would say it could run independently but maybe not. Good too try

Unfortionately, this is not a pump it is a siphon ! the method used is necessary to get the siphon started that is all.... the field is at a lower altitude than the river.... keep this in mind ! how do you start a 2" syphon ? by using this method or fill the lines and plug both ends and then release both ends of the pipe and you will have a siphon going. I was hoping that this was actually something worth while but it is just a siphon from the river to the field although it's true it's very hard to start a large siphon and this method makes it easier but it IS NOT A PUMP that takes water from the river and raises it to a higher field it doesn't do that... it's just a method of starting a siphon.... a simplier method would be a "T" at the highest point on the path and valves or plugs at both ends of the long pipe the long pipe can be any size you want. fill the pipe with water and then plug the "T" and then unplug both ends of the pipe at once ....you don't need the barrel or all the funny connections

you dont need anything the things wat you have, only one thing tobe use, the flexible hose because the sourse of the water is locate in the higher level and the output is there in the lower level. no need to use the container or drum, pvc and gate bulb...

Its have a barry, bcoz of the water volume.its supppose to be a suctiong volume of water must be same at the water to fows out.if water volumes out is more than the water coming in,it take only a time then the tank will emptied.then you fill the thank again.
